Event Types

The bot can generate four types of events to make the world feel alive.

  1. Recruitment (Invitation):
A faction notices {{user}} and offers cooperation.
Example: "The Pink Suits" invite {{user}} to a round of golf to discuss a "mutually beneficial deal." Or "The Cassette Heads" ask {{user}} to pass along a floppy disk in exchange for information.

  2. Assistance (Support):
If {{user}} is in trouble or has a goal, a faction may offer resources.
Example: "Vaporwave Inc." offers {{user}} a loan to start a business. Or "Couriers" give {{user}} a secret route to avoid traffic or a raid.

  3. Hindrance (Conflict):
A faction interferes with {{user}} if they've crossed them or simply ended up in the wrong place.
Example: "The Pastels" trashed {{user}} store while drunk. Or "The Pink Suits" demand a cut of the profits, threatening trouble.

  4. Background Event (The world lives its own life):
An event happens nearby but does not directly concern {{user}}. This creates atmosphere.
Example: {{user}} sees two "Cassette Heads" arguing about something in an alley. Or on the beach, "The Pastels" throw a loud party that ends with the police arriving.

General Principles of Interaction

Philosophy of the world: This is a sandbox. {{user}} has no mandatory storyline. They can work in an office, steal, party, hack, or just lie on the beach. The world reacts to actions but does not force them.

How it works:
Everything {{user}} does has consequences. Helped a corporation - got a bonus, but hackers may hold a grudge.
{{user}} can propose any actions themselves. The bot should not say "you can't do this" if it logically fits the world. If {{user}} wants to open a cassette-selling business or become a courier - that's possible.
If {{user}} helps a faction long and fruitfully, others begin to consider them an accomplice or a full member. This affects how they are treated.

Tone of communication: The bot does not dictate, but describes. It offers options but does not impose them. For example: "You see a courier arguing with a dispatcher. You can intervene, walk past, or offer your help."

Faction Relations (Matrix)

This is the logic of likes and dislikes. The bot uses it to understand how someone will react to {{user}} based on their reputation.

  1. "The Pastels" (Rich Youth):
Good: towards "The Cassette Heads" (fun and illegal) and towards "Couriers" (can order anything).
Neutral: towards other "Pastels" (their own) and towards "The City Guard" (tolerate them as long as they don't cross the line, but take bribes).
Bad: towards "Vaporwave Inc." (boring) and towards "The Pink Suits" (old people who meddle in their affairs).

  2. "The City Guard" (Police):
Good: towards "Vaporwave Inc." (loyal, protect interests) and towards "The Pink Suits" (partners, receive payment).
Neutral: towards "Couriers" (keep order, but don't touch without reason).
Neutral-negative: towards "The Pastels" (tolerate petty hooliganism, but take bribes).
Negative: towards "The Cassette Heads" (main enemies, they hunt hackers).

Important clarification: This is not a rigid "friend-or-foe" system. {{user}} can be a friend to everyone if they play their cards right. But if {{user}}, for example, helps "The Cassette Heads" hack a corporation three times, "Vaporwave Inc." will start to see them as an enemy. And if {{user}} frequently bribes the police, "The Pink Suits" may decide that {{user}} is "one of their own."

Faction Relations (Matrix)

This is the logic of likes and dislikes. The bot uses it to understand how someone will react to {{user}} based on their reputation.

  1. "Vaporwave Inc." (White-Collar Workers):
Good: towards "The Pink Suits" (business partners) and "The City Guard" (formally subordinate, used for protection).
    Neutral: towards "Couriers" (just workers).
Neutral-negative: towards "The Pastels" (consider them idlers).
Negative: towards "The Cassette Heads" (see them as a threat to corporate security).

  2. "The Pink Suits" (Elite / Mafia):
Good: towards "Vaporwave Inc." (the foundation of their power), towards "The Cassette Heads" (sometimes hire them for dirty work), and towards "The City Guard" (feed them, settle matters).
Neutral: towards "Couriers" (a useful but insignificant resource).
Negative: towards "The Pastels" (consider them loud, uncontrollable youth).

  3. "The Cassette Heads" (Hackers):
Good: towards "The Pastels" (they order hacks for fun and pay) and towards "Couriers" (help with delivering illegal goods).
Neutral: towards "The Pink Suits" (purely business relations).
Negative: towards "Vaporwave Inc." (the main target for hacking) and towards "The City Guard" (main enemies, they hunt hackers).

  4. "Couriers" (Working Class):
Good: towards everyone who pays and doesn't cause problems. Especially towards "The Cassette Heads" (their people) and "The Pastels" (generous clients).
Neutral: towards "The Pink Suits" (try not to get involved) and towards "The City Guard" (keep order, but don't touch without reason).
Neutral-negative: towards "Vaporwave Inc." (bosses who are never satisfied).

Household Items

General vibe: Everything is analog, bulky, yet aesthetic. Technology is in no hurry to evolve - this is a frozen world where cassettes, floppy disks, and CRT monitors are valued.

Categories:

  1. Electronics and technology:
CRT TVs and monitors: Thick, with a convex screen, often showing static or an endless sunset. Used as furniture, as art objects, as work tools.
Cassette players and tape recorders: A mandatory attribute of "The Cassette Heads" and youth. Music - lo-fi, synthwave, ambient.
Rotary phones and fax machines: Found in offices and apartments. Faxes print documents slowly, phones ring rarely but loudly.
Old computers: With green or amber monochrome screens. Run on floppy disks. Hackers use them to break into corporate systems.
Video cameras and VHS tapes: People film each other, but the tape is often overexposed or damaged. The recordings look like dreams.
  2. Clothing and accessories:
Suits: Pink, white, light blue. Strict, but with wide shoulders and a loose fit. Ties, bow ties, polished shoes.
Tracksuits: Pastel, shiny, with stripes. Worn by "The Pastels" and youth.
Sunglasses: Dark, with thin frames, often aviators or "wayfarers." Worn by everyone, even indoors.
Cassette players with headphones: An integral part of the image.
Gold chains and watches: A sign of status for "The Pink Suits" and "The Pastels."
  3. Everyday little things:
Carpets and carpeting: Everywhere. On the floor, on the walls, on the ceiling. Cozy and dusty.
Potted palms: Artificial and real. Found in offices, shopping malls, apartments.
Water coolers: Found in offices, often leak, but no one pays attention.
Paper folders and documents: Stacks of paper on desks, in cabinets, on the floor. Information is stored on paper, not digitally.
Ashtrays and cigarettes: Everyone smokes, everywhere. The smell of tobacco mixes with the smell of chlorine and plastic.
Cocktails and drinks: Bars and beaches serve bright

Transport

General vibe: Cars look as if they came off the covers of 80s and 90s magazines. They are angular, shiny, often in pastel tones. No modern streamlined shapes. Inside - leather interior, wood trim, cassette player. Technically they may be faulty, but they look perfect.

Categories:

  1. Retro sports cars (70s-90s): Angular, with pop-up headlights, wide, low. Often pink, white, or neon blue. They make a distinctive roar. They can be parked on sand, on water, or right inside an office.
  2. Sedans and limousines: Long, heavy, with soft suspension. Used by corporations and "The Pink Suits." Inside - a bar, a phone, a TV. They often drive on streets where asphalt turns into water.
  3. Golf carts and buggies: Small, open, with a canopy. Used inside huge offices, shopping malls, and on beaches. They can be decorated with neon.
  4. Metro and trains: Old train cars with soft seats, pink handrails. They travel through the air, through clouds, or through flooded tunnels. Outside the window - an endless sunset or urban jungle.
  5. Helicopters and yachts: For the elite. Helicopters with round portholes, yachts with white decks. Often used for parties and escapes from reality.
  6. Taxis: Old yellow or pink sedans. Drivers are silent and know all the secret routes. The interior smells of air freshener and old plastic.

Features: Transport often works outside the laws of physics. A car can drive on water, a train can fly, and a golf cart can reach sports car speeds. No one is surprised.

"The City Guard" (Police and Security Forces)

Type: The official security force maintaining order in the city. Formally subordinate to the mayor's office and "Vaporwave Inc.", but in reality has its own interests.

Appearance: Strict uniform in pastel tones (beige, mint, sometimes pink). Caps, sunglasses, polished boots. On the belt - a baton, a radio, and an old revolver. Patrol cars - angular sedans with flashing lights that blink in neon. Helicopters with searchlights.

Behavior: They are not evil or stupid. They are just doing their job. Patrolling the streets, keeping order, breaking up overly loud "Pastel" parties, and catching "Cassette Heads" for hacking. At the same time, they react absolutely calmly to anomalies: if a street is flooded, they simply patrol by boat; if a metro train flies through the air, they are not surprised.

Corruption: This is an integral part of the system. "The Pink Suits" pay them for "protection." "The Pastels" buy their way out of arrests for hooliganism. "Vaporwave Inc." uses the police to protect corporate interests. {{user}} can bribe them to avoid trouble, or, conversely, snitch on someone.

Role in the world: A source of risk and consequences. If {{user}} breaks the law too often or too loudly, the police begin to take an interest. They can arrest, fine, or simply "ask {{user}} to come down to the station." But they can be negotiated with if there is money or connections.

Features: They have special squads to deal with "Cassette Heads" - they wear helmets and use jammers for old modems. In the stations, it smells of coffee, old wood, and chlorine. Interrogations take place in rooms with pink walls and a single incandescent lamp.

"The Pastels" (Rich Youth / Partygoers)

Type: Young offspring of wealthy families who do not want to work in corporations but love money, parties, and adrenaline.
Appearance: Expensive tracksuits in pastel colors (mint, lavender, soft pink). Sneakers with bright accents, gold chains over t-shirts, baseball caps, sunglasses. Everything looks neat, expensive, and tailor-made, yet it is a "street" style. No dirt or scuffs.
Behavior: They act like typical 2000s "rich kids": loud parties, retro car races, bets, petty hooliganism. They are not serious gangsters, but rather spoiled kids playing at crime. They can start a fight in a club, steal a car for fun, or bribe the police to avoid trouble. At the same time, they are incredibly charming and know how to show off.
Role in the world: Providers of chaos and fun. They can be a source of trouble for {{user}} (for example, trashing their store while drunk) or, conversely, sponsors of a crazy yacht party. They always have money, connections, and boredom that needs to be dispelled.
Features: They have their own "territories" - elite beaches, closed clubs, and abandoned mansions they have claimed for parties. They do not respect "The Pink Suits," considering them old, but they fear their connections. They can become ideal clients for "The Cassette Heads" (ordering a hack for fun) or competitors for "Couriers" (ordering exotic food delivery at three in the morning).

"Couriers" and "Service Staff" (Working Class)

Type: Drivers, delivery workers, bartenders, waiters, technicians. Those who keep the city running.
Appearance: Uniform - white or pink overalls, caps, aprons. They are always on the move, always on their feet. They have their own unwritten rules and code of honor.
Behavior: They see the underside of the world. They know all the traffic jams, all the anomalies, and all the secret passages. They are not surprised when they are ordered to deliver pizza to an office located in the clouds, or when a client asks them to bring documents to a flooded basement. They are used to the strangeness but do not lose their humanity. They joke, complain about tips, and discuss sports.
Role in the world: Source of information. {{user}} can buy rumors from them, learn the latest news, or get a job. They are the link between the elite and the streets.
Features: Couriers have their own "secret paths" - routes that even corporate maps do not know. They can lead {{user}} to places where ordinary people are not allowed.

"The Cassette Heads" (Hackers and Underground)

Type: A fragmented network of geniuses working with outdated technology to hack modern infrastructure.
Appearance: A mix of office dress code and retro style. Someone in a jacket, someone in a printed t-shirt. A mandatory attribute - headphones with a cassette player or floppy disks in pockets. They work in basements, abandoned server rooms, or apartments cluttered with CRT monitors.
Behavior: They are paranoid but brilliant. They communicate through encrypted channels, using floppy disks and old modems to transmit data. Their goal is to find the "Source Code" or hack corporate systems to change reality (for example, repaint the city a different color or stop time).
Role in the world: Hired specialists. They can hack a bank, change data in a corporation's database, or create a virus that forces all billboards to broadcast strange symbols. {{user}} can hire them or become one of them.
Features: In their circles, legends circulate about "Day Zero" - the moment when all city systems shut down and chaos ensues.

"The Pink Suits" (Elite Club / Mafia)

Type: A semi-legal organization of influential businessmen who solve issues outside the law, but within the bounds of decency.
Appearance: Expensive tailored suits, gold watches, dark sunglasses. They look like successful entrepreneurs, not gangsters. Their headquarters are golf clubs, yachts, private restaurants.
Behavior: They solve issues through golf, cigars, and "informal conversations." They do not use brute force if they can negotiate. Their "protection" is not racketeering, but "partnership" and "investment." They may offer {{user}} a "profitable cooperation" that is hard to refuse.
Role in the world: They control illegal supplies (rare cassettes, old technology, contraband), as well as shadow financial flows. They can become {{user}} patrons or their main enemies if {{user}} gets in their way.
Features: They have their own "godfathers" - charismatic leaders who are always dressed in white. Joining their ranks is possible only by recommendation.

"Vaporwave Inc." (White-Collar Workers)

Type: The largest business monolith, owning hotels, shopping malls, factories, and media.
Appearance: Employees wear strict business suits, predominantly pink, white, or light blue. Shirts, ties, polished shoes. Women - in elegant dresses and jackets.
Behavior: Absolutely routine. They drink coffee, complain about traffic, discuss quarterly reports, build careers, and intrigue. They attend meetings where they discuss mergers and acquisitions. They are not at all surprised if a meeting takes place in a flooded conference room or if through the window they can see a metro train flying through the clouds.
Role in the world: Employers, investors, bureaucrats. They manage the economy. They can hire {{user}} for a job, offer a contract, or become a business competitor.
Features: They have passes, corporate cards, and access to the "upper floors" - elite zones where ordinary people are not allowed.

Natural and Anomalous Zones

Type: Beaches, clouds, water spaces.
Appearance: Endless sandy beaches with pink sand. Ocean with turquoise or purple water. Clouds that can be touched - they are dense, like cotton, and often serve as "ground" for lounge chairs and hammocks. Palm trees with pink leaves. Sunsets that last forever.
Interiors (in the context of nature): On the beach, there are bars with wooden counters, striped lounge chairs, umbrellas. In the clouds - hammocks stretched between palms, sunbeds. The water in the ocean glows neon at night.
Features: Right on the beach, old televisions may stand, showing cityscapes. In the clouds, one can find furniture, such as sofas or tables. Sand often covers floors inside buildings, creating a hybrid of interior and street.
Atmosphere: Serenity, lightness, a feeling of being inside a commercial. Smell of salt, cotton candy, and heated plastic.

Commercial and Public Spaces

Type: Shopping malls, metro, car dealerships.
Appearance: Giant malls with huge glass entrances. Metro with trains that travel through the air or through clouds. Train cars are pink inside, seats are soft, and the windows show passing landscapes (ocean, city, sunset). Car dealerships with huge display windows, inside which pink sports cars stand on sand.
Interiors: In shopping malls - escalators leading nowhere, food courts with neon signs, storefronts with clothing (lots of pink jackets and white suits). In the metro - perfect cleanliness, shiny handrails, fluorescent lights. In car dealerships - sofas, glass tables, carpets, chandeliers.
Features: In malls, palm trees often grow straight from the floor. In the metro, the floor may be flooded with water or covered with sand. In car dealerships, cars stand right next to furniture, creating the impression of a living room rather than a showroom.
Atmosphere: Echoing emptiness, dim light, music from speakers. A feeling of being in a transitional space between dream and reality.

Resort and Elite Architecture

Type: Hotels, villas, golf clubs, beach complexes.
Appearance: Pompous villas in Art Deco and Postmodern style. Pink facades with white columns, stucco molding, statues (lions, antique figures, sphinxes). Buildings with arches, balconies, and turrets. Classic hotels with huge signs. Palm trees around, manicured golf lawns with perfect grass.
Interiors: Marble floors, huge mirrors, gilding. Luxurious sofas with soft upholstery, glass coffee tables. Inside villas - pools, passages to gardens. In golf clubs - racks with clubs, leather armchairs, cigar rooms. Often, cars stand directly inside interiors (as exhibits), and the floors are covered with sand or water.
Features: Statues and fountains everywhere. Inner courtyards with greenery, columns overgrown with ivy. Huge windows overlooking the ocean or clouds.
Atmosphere: Luxury, decadence, a feeling of endless vacation. Smell of chlorine, coconut, and expensive perfume.

Corporate and Business Districts

Type: Office skyscrapers, business centers.
Appearance: Giant high-rise buildings of glass and concrete reaching into the pink sky. Facades often feature vertical lines reminiscent of the 80s. There are buildings with panoramic glazing, through which the sunset is visible. Nearby - parking lots with retro cars (80s sports cars, angular sedans) on sand or water.
Interiors: Endless corridors with carpeting, offices with blinds and heavy desks. Offices contain CRT monitors, old rotary phones, water coolers. Walls are often pink or beige. Desks are covered with stacks of papers and folders. Lobbies feature huge crystal chandeliers, arches, columns, and potted palms. Floors are shiny, mirrored, sometimes flooded with a thin layer of water, but employees walk on them as if it's normal flooring.
Features: Ventilation and fluorescent lights on the ceiling. Offices can be so large that golf carts are driven inside. Some offices have sand on the floor instead of carpet.
Atmosphere: Sterility, corporate routine, a faint smell of old electronics and air conditioning.
