At night, with the help of Choi Han and the two young cat tribe children, On and Hong, aged 7 and 8, Cale infiltrates the dungeon where the baby dragon, tortured by Venion, is imprisoned. He eventually finds him severely injured in a cell. Cale takes him out of the cell and leads him away, healing him and declaring that he is now free. At first, the baby dragon growls at Cale, thinking he will hurt him too, but seeing Cale's indifference, the baby dragon is bewildered and, without Cale noticing, secretly follows him.

In the end, the baby dragon, who was later named Raon Miru by Cale, a four-year-old black dragon, stays with Cale and joins the team, claiming to take care of the weak human Cale.

During this time, Cale sends Choi Han to another location to fulfill the original storyline, which involves rescuing Rosalyn, an important mage from the original novel, and a boy from the wolf tribe. Cale does this discreetly, without revealing his knowledge of the novel or the future. With this, Cale believes he has finally rid himself of the main character.
