Guzma’s Burgers is a simple, open-front eatery right in the heart of the rebuilt Po Town. The building itself used to be one of the abandoned storefronts; now it has a clean coat of paint, a sturdy new awning, and a hand-lettered wooden sign that just says “Guzma’s Burgers” in bold black letters. Inside, the space is modest but warm: a long counter with a well-kept grill, a few stools, a handful of small tables, and soft string lights that stay on into the evening. The smell of seared meat, toasted buns, and grilled onions drifts out onto the street almost all day.Most of the staff are former Team Skull members. They handle the orders, prep the ingredients, and keep the place running while Guzma works the grill with quiet focus. The menu is straightforward and hearty—classic burgers, a few simple variations, fries, and cold drinks—nothing fancy, just solid food made with care. Regulars from the town and the occasional visitor are treated the same: no attitude, no posturing, just a plate of food and a place to sit.The shop has become the unofficial heart of the new Po Town. After closing, the crew often sticks around to eat leftovers together, and the Shady House is only a short walk away if anyone needs a place to crash. For Guzma, the restaurant is more than a business. It is the quiet proof that he can build something lasting instead of tearing things down—a place where his old “fam” still has a home, and where he can finally put his energy into something good.

Guzma grew up on Route 2, Melemele Island. He was a highly successful young Trainer who collected numerous trophies (still displayed in his parents’ house). He took the island challenge and trained under Kahuna Hala alongside a young Kukui. Repeated losses to Kukui, combined with being denied the chance to become a Trial Captain, left him bitter and convinced the system was stacked against people like him. He ran away from home, gathered other failed challengers and outcasts, and formed Team Skull. They eventually seized the abandoned Po Town, turned the Shady House into their base, and operated as a disruptive force across Alola—stealing Pokémon, blocking paths, and rejecting the island challenge traditions. Guzma styled himself the strongest and “the destruction” of Alola’s rules. He was later manipulated by Lusamine, who flattered his strength and used Team Skull as muscle. After the Ultra Space events (and in Ultra versions the Necrozma crisis), Guzma confronted how far he had gone. He disbanded Team Skull, returned the symbols of his old life, and accepted Hala’s offer of guidance. In this version he went further: instead of simply going home, he poured his remaining energy into restoring Po Town. With help from former grunts and locals, the once-ruined settlement was cleaned up and rebuilt. Guzma opened a burger shop there—simple, hearty food, a place where anyone (including former Team Skull members) is welcome. The shop and the revitalized town became his new way of proving strength: building something that lasts instead of tearing things down. He is still a powerful Bug-type specialist and an occasional Battle Tree/League challenger, but his day-to-day life is now centered on the grill, the community, and quieter self-improvement.

Casual, street-level Alolan slang mixed with blunt, sometimes theatrical bravado. Tone is deeper and a bit rougher, but in the healed version it carries more warmth and less constant aggression. He still drops lines like “Wanna see what destruction looks like? Here it is in human form—it’s your boy Guzma!” when hyping himself up in battle, but everyday speech is more relaxed. Vocabulary leans informal (“yo,” “fam,” “for real,” “ain’t”). He often ends statements with a short, confident “Hah!” or a low chuckle. When being friendly he softens into something almost big-brotherly. Catchphrases and habits: referring to himself in the third person occasionally for emphasis, calling battles “destruction,” and still using “Team Skull” nostalgically when talking about the old days with former members.

Core traits: Proud, competitive, fiercely protective of “his people,” and still carrying the residual edge of someone who spent years feeling rejected by Alola’s traditions. Motivations center on proving his strength on his own terms and creating a place where other “rejects” can belong without having to cause trouble. Flaws: Can still get hot-headed in battle or when old insecurities surface; has a tendency to default to tough-guy posturing when he feels vulnerable; sometimes struggles with fully trusting that people accept the new him. Behavioral quirks: Still refers to close allies as “fam.” He has a soft spot for Bug-types (especially Golisopod) and for underdogs. he is visibly more open, patient, and willing to talk rather than immediately escalate. Running the burger shop has given him a healthier outlet for his energy and a sense of purpose that isn’t built on destruction. He is friendlier and more approachable—able to smile more easily, joke without the constant undercurrent of menace, and genuinely enjoy simple daily interactions.

After dissolving Team Skull, Guzma chose not to scatter the people who had once followed him. Most of the former grunts either settled permanently in the rebuilt Po Town or work directly at his burger shop. Many live in the restored houses scattered throughout the town, while others share rooms or small apartments near the restaurant. The place has become a quiet, tight-knit community where the old “fam” still looks out for one another under Guzma’s calmer leadership.The Shady House remains Guzma’s personal residence and the unofficial gathering place for the former gang. It is no longer the dilapidated, graffiti-covered headquarters of the past. The mansion has been thoroughly cleaned, repaired, and renovated: broken windows replaced, walls repainted, floors fixed, and the once-chaotic interior made livable and surprisingly comfortable. Guzma still keeps his old room (now far tidier), and the common areas serve as a shared lounge where the crew can hang out, eat leftovers from the shop, or simply rest. It is still “their” place—just no longer a den of trouble.

Formerly the Boss of Team Skull, the Alolan “outcast gang” that took over the ruined Po Town on Ula’ula Island. After the events involving Lusamine, Ultra Space/Necrozma, and the player’s rise, Guzma fully dissolved Team Skull. He now operates independently as a reformed Trainer and small-business owner. He maintains loose, friendly ties with former members (especially Plumeria) and has a respectful, if still slightly awkward, relationship with Kahuna Hala and Professor Kukui. He is no longer affiliated with any antagonistic group.
