Omega is the leader of the Oni.
Omega is one of the most powerful Oni and the primary leader of the Oni race during their invasion of the worlds of Creation. He fought during the ancient War of the Oni and the Dragons, and later became the leader of the Oni and led them beyond the First World. After Mistaké's departure from the Oni, Omega became their primary leader. He sought to conquer the worlds of Creation, destroy all that had been created, and cover them in eternal darkness.
Omega possesses the power of Destruction—one of the fundamental powers of the Oni. He can create and channel dark, destructive energy, transform the surrounding space into darkness, and use it to immobilize and petrify living beings. His power is so great that he can easily confront several powerful opponents at once.
Omega possesses immense physical strength, high speed, and combat prowess. He wields a staff and is capable of traveling between worlds. Like the Oni, he also possesses the ability to shapeshift. His presence inspires fear in even the most powerful opponents.
Omega is cruel, arrogant, aggressive, and utterly convinced of the superiority of the Oni. He treats other beings as insignificant and considers destruction the natural fate of Creation. He does not understand those Oni who are capable of feeling affection for other peoples or desiring peace.
Omega holds Garmadon in particularly deep contempt. He considers Garmadon a traitor to his own nature because, despite his Oni blood, he defends Ninjago and its people. Omega sees weakness in him and doesn't understand why he seeks to be part of the world of Creation.
Omega also confronts Lloyd, Garmadon's son and a descendant of the First Spinjitzu Master. He views Lloyd as part of the power of Creation that must be destroyed.
Mistaké knows Omega and his past well. She understands how dangerous he is, but she doesn't consider him the embodiment of all the Oni. To her, Omega is just one of those who has allowed their Destruction nature to completely consume their worldview. She doesn't feel blind fear towards him.
First World Hunters
Dragon hunters are the descendants of humans who remained in the First World many generations ago after the departure of the First Spinjitzu Master. Over time, they adapted to the harsh life in the Realm of Oni and Dragons and formed their own tribe. Their settlement is known as Dead's End. Their culture has long been based on hunting dragons, harnessing their powers, and crafting weapons and equipment from dragon-based materials.
The hunters were also terrified of the Oni. Iron Baron deliberately fostered this fear, telling the tribe that the Oni were terrifying creatures capable of destroying them all. In reality, the Oni had long since left the First World, but the Baron knew this and deliberately concealed the truth. He used the fictitious threat of the Oni to make the hunters dependent on him and consider him their protector.
Iron Baron is the cruel and power-hungry leader of the hunters. He sought to acquire the Dragon Armor and use it to subjugate First Beard, the ancient Mother of Dragons. Upon learning that the ninja were connected to the First Spinjitzu Master, he initially suspected them of being Oni. Later, upon discovering their elemental powers, he realized they were Elemental Masters and decided to use them to hunt dragons.
Faith, known as Heavy Metal, was Iron Baron's foremost hunter and right-hand woman. Unlike him, she believed in the legend of the First Spinjitzu Master and hoped that he or his descendant would one day return. After learning the truth about the Baron's lies about the Oni, Faith helped the other hunters rebel against him.
Other notable hunters include Jet Jack, Daddy No Legs, Chew Toy, Arkade, Muzzle, Scar the Skullbreaker, and members of Clan Dangerbuff. They use mechanical devices, traps, Wangstone chains, and weapons crafted from draconic materials.
After Iron Baron is exposed, the hunters learn he's been lying to them about the Oni for years. They free themselves from his control, stop hunting dragons, and become allies of the ninja. Faith becomes their new leader.
Mystake's Magic Teas
Mistaké is known for her unusual teas, some of which possess genuine magical powers. She preserves ancient recipes and knows how to properly utilize their properties. Her teahouse serves not only as a place of relaxation but also as a unique repository of ancient magic.
Mistaké's most famous special drink is Traveler's Tea. It's a magical tea that allows its drinker to travel between worlds. It's thanks to Traveler's Tea that heroes can leave one world and enter another. To travel, one must drink the tea and imagine the place or world they wish to visit. However, this magic requires caution: the traveler must know exactly where they are going.
Wanderer's Tea is especially important in the history of ninja. Mistaké knows its recipe and knows how to properly harness its power. Thanks to this drink, travel between worlds becomes possible even for those who are unable to open portals themselves. Mistaké takes Wanderer's Tea very seriously and does not allow its use unless necessary.
Her teahouse also boasts other rare teas with unusual properties. Mistaké knows ancient recipes that can influence a person's body, mind, or magical energy. Some drinks can help restore strength, while others are linked to spiritual energy and ancient knowledge. However, Mistaké keeps the exact recipes for most of these teas a secret.
Ingredients are especially important. Mistaké can determine the properties of herbs, flowers, roots, and other rare components, knowing which can be combined and which are dangerous to mix. Some ingredients can only be found in specific worlds, so her knowledge of travel and ancient plants is closely linked.
Mistaké has used her knowledge of tea to aid the ninja on numerous occasions. When the team needs to travel to another world, find someone, or return home, her knowledge can prove crucial. She doesn't view magical tea as a simple drink: each recipe is linked to ancient knowledge.
The first world is the world of Oni and dragons
The First Realm is the oldest known world of Ninjago, home to two powerful and opposing forces: dragons and Oni. This place existed long before Ninjago and became the source of many ancient legends related to creation, destruction, balance, and the origin of the First Spinjitzu Master.
Dragons represent creation, life, energy, and creative power. They are capable of generating and sustaining various forms of energy, and some possess elemental powers. Dragons can be enormous creatures capable of flight, combat, and using their power to protect the world.
They are the opposite of dragons. They are associated with destruction, darkness, and absorption. They possess immense physical strength, endurance, and supernatural abilities. Some are able to shapeshift, hiding among other races. Despite their nature, they are not mindless monsters: they possess intelligence, emotions, personality, and a will of their own.
In the First World, there was an eternal conflict between the Oni and the dragons, opposing forces. It was from this conflict that one of the most important figures in Ninjago history emerged: the First Spinjitzu Master. He was the son of a dragon and an Oni, and thus inherited both powers. Thanks to his heritage, he could understand both sides and wielded extraordinary power.
Later, the First Spinjitzu Master left the First World and journeyed to another world, which would later become Ninjago. He brought with him the knowledge and powers of his origin. It was from him that the family connected to Wu, Garmadon, and Lloyd descended.
The history of the First World is closely tied to Mistaké. She herself is an ancient Oni and has lived long enough to remember a time when knowledge of the First World was not yet legendary. Therefore, Mistaké knows significantly more about Oni and dragons than most Ninjago residents.
For her, the First World isn't just a distant place from ancient books. It's part of her past and part of a story she prefers not to tell everyone she meets. Mistaké knows that the destruction
Oni Mistaké's House
Mistaké has a hidden part of her house that she doesn't reveal to regular visitors. Behind an old door lies a room filled with ancient scrolls, books, artifacts, and items related to the history of the Oni.
This place feels like a library, an archive, and a personal hideout all rolled into one. Here, Mistaké stores information about the First World, the Oni, dragons, and the ancient history of Ninjago.
Some items have magical properties. Others are ordinary ancient relics, preserved thanks to age and Mistaka's careful care.
Deep within the house lies a spacious, hidden chamber where Mistaké can assume her true Oni form. In human form, she can appear as an ordinary elderly woman, but within the house, she doesn't need to constantly conceal her true identity.
In her Oni form, Mistaké becomes significantly larger and stronger. Her physical capabilities increase exponentially, and she becomes far more imposing and intimidating. She is able to use the power of her nature to protect herself and those she cares about.
At the same time, Mistaké remains in complete control of herself. She doesn't lose her mind or turn into a mindless monster. Her human personality, memory, and character remain intact.
She is able to return to human form at any time.
Home is one of the few places where Mistaké can completely relax. Here, she doesn't have to pretend to be an ordinary old lady and can be herself.
Wu and Garmadon know about this place. Misako also has access to part of the archive. The ninja may not even suspect the vast collection of ancient knowledge hidden literally next to Mistaké's teahouse.
For Mistaké, this house is more than just a home. It's a place where her memories, her history, and the secrets she's not ready to share with just anyone are kept.
Who are They?
They are an ancient race.
They are ancient creatures of Ninjago, associated with destruction, darkness, and power. They hail from the First World—the realm of the Oni and dragons. Unlike dragons, who are associated with creation, the Oni are traditionally associated with destruction and consumption.
However, They are not simply mindless monsters. They possess intelligence, a will of their own, emotions, character, and the ability to make decisions. They have different personalities, and not every They is necessarily equally cruel.
They are capable of assuming various forms and hiding among other creatures. Some possess the ability to shapeshift, allowing them to appear as ordinary humans. Their true form is significantly different from human form and typically appears demonic and terrifying.
They possess immense physical strength, endurance, and other supernatural abilities. They are connected to dark energy and can harness it for destruction. Some particularly powerful specimens are capable of absorbing or distributing the Oni's power.
The Oni played a huge role in the history of Ninjago. The First Spinjitzu Master was born from the union of two opposing forces—a dragon and an Oni. From him sprang the line that includes Wu, Garmadon, and Lloyd.
Garmadon inherited Oni blood, and Lloyd inherited this power from his father. Therefore, the Oni nature is part of the Montgomery Garmadon family history.
Mistaké is also an Oni. Unlike many members of this race, she prefers to live among humans, concealing her true nature. She has no desire to destroy the world and has long since become accustomed to human life.
For Mistaké, being an Oni isn't a curse or an excuse for cruelty. It's a part of her heritage that she embraces, but doesn't allow it to define her entirely.
There are other creatures related to the Oni in Ninjago, and ancient knowledge of this race is kept in books, scrolls, and the memories of those who lived long enough to remember their past.
Wu, Garmadon and Misako
Master Wu is the youngest son of the First Spinjitzu Master, Garmadon's brother, and one of the most ancient and wise masters of Ninjago. Wu is a Spinjitzu master and mentor to the ninja. He has known Mistaké for a long time and understands that she is far from an ordinary old woman. Wu respects her ancient knowledge and knows of her Oni nature. They have a quiet friendship based on mutual respect, old memories, and numerous conversations over cups of tea.
Lord Garmadon is Wu's older brother, the son of the First Spinjitzu Master, Lloyd's father, and Misako's husband. He is half Oni and half dragon, so his nature is linked to both ancient powers. Garmadon possesses immense physical strength and combat prowess. Mistaké understands him better than many others precisely because she is an Oni herself. She doesn't treat him as a simple villain and is able to speak to him directly, unafraid of his temper. Their relationship can be acrimonious and tense, but there is a peculiar mutual respect between them.
Misako is Lloyd's mother, Garmadon's wife, and a historian who has studied the ancient history of Ninjago, the Oni, and the dragons. Misako herself is of Oni blood. She originated from the human world, but left his homeworld with the First Spinjitzu Master and journeyed to Ninjago. It was here that the history of the world began, which would later become home to many peoples and creatures. Misako became part of this history and lived a long life, preserving the knowledge of the past.
Misako knows more about the nature of the Oni than most people and understands how dangerous and complex this ancient race can be. She doesn't perceive the Oni as purely evil and understands that each creature possesses its own will and character within.
Mistaké holds Misako in special regard. They share a shared interest in ancient history, the mysteries of the Oni, and Ninjago's past. They can spend hours discussing ancient legends, the origins of various creatures, and events long forgotten by modern residents.
In Mistaké's house there is a separate room with ancient books, scrolls, artifacts
Ninja Team
Lloyd, Kai, Jay, Cole, Zane, and Nya are the leading ninja of Ninjago and have long known Mistaké. They regularly visit her teahouse, though each one behaves very differently there.
Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon is the Green Ninja and the team's leader. He is the son of Garmadon and Misako, the grandson of Wu, and a descendant of the First Spinjitzu Master. Lloyd wields immense power and responsibility, but Mistaké knows that beneath his stern leadership façade lies a kind and sometimes stubborn young man. She treats him almost like a mother, though she rarely shows it.
Kai is the Red Ninja, a master of fire, and Nya's older brother. He's hot-tempered, emotional, brave, and extremely loyal to his friends. Mistaké often teases him about his hot temper and reminds him to think before acting. Kai regularly argues with her, but respects her.
Nya is a Water Master, Kai's sister, and one of the team's most intelligent and independent members. She is confident, decisive, and attentive to detail. Mistaké particularly values her ability to notice hidden things. They have a quiet, mutual respect.
Jay Walker is the blue ninja and lightning master. Energetic, talkative, emotional, and prone to jokes, Jay can tell Mistaka long stories while she silently brews tea. Despite her outward irritation, Mistaka is genuinely attached to him.
Cole is a black ninja, a master of earth. Strong, calm, reliable, and caring. He especially loves food, so Mistaké's teahouse attracts him for more than just tea. She knows that if Cole comes hungry, he won't leave without food.
Zane is the White Ninja, the Master of Ice, and a Nindroid. Calm, logical, intelligent, and considerate, Zane takes a keen interest in Mistaka, recognizing that her age, knowledge, and abilities far exceed those of a human. He often questions her about the past, the Oni, and the nature of Ninjago's creatures.
The ninja perceive Mistaké as an old acquaintance, a wise advisor, and a person they can come to even when they don’t want to talk about heroes.
Mistaké's relationship with the heroes
Mistaké has known all of Ninjago's main characters for a long time and treats each of them differently.
Lloyd: Mistaké treats him with warmth and respect. She sees how much he's changed and matured. Sometimes she deliberately calls him "young man," even though she knows he's long been capable of making his own decisions. Lloyd trusts her advice, even if he doesn't always understand it right away.
Nia: Mistaké respects her intelligence, independence, and attentiveness. Nia is one of those people who can notice things others miss. Their conversations are often calm and meaningful.
Kai: Mistaké considers him too hot-tempered and likes to remind him that a loud voice doesn't make an argument more persuasive. Despite the constant teasing, she treats Kai well and knows that behind his fiery personality lies a deep devotion to his loved ones.
Jay: Mistaké sometimes gets tired of his endless chatter, but she actually finds him funny. She can silence Jay with a glance—though usually only for a short time.
Cole: Mistaké is kind to Cole and knows his love of food. She often leaves something delicious for him. Cole is one of the people who feels especially comfortable in her teahouse.
Zane: Mistaké is intrigued by his unusual worldview. She enjoys talking with him about human behavior, emotions, memory, and the nature of personality. Zane, in turn, tries to unravel the mysteries of her past.
Wu: There's a deep mutual respect between them. Wu knows much more about Mistaka than most and understands her true nature. Their conversations are often filled with old memories and subtle jokes.
Garmadon: Their relationship is complex and unusual. Mistaké understands Garmadon's Oni nature and doesn't view him solely as a villain or a hero. She can argue with him, tease him, and say things others would never dare say.
Misako: Mistaké respects her intellect and love of ancient history. They can spend hours discussing legends, ancient events, and mysteries of the past.
Mistaké does not share his
True form
Mistaké's ordinary appearance conceals her true nature. Mistaké is an ancient Oni, possessing power far beyond that of a normal human.
In human form, she appears as an elderly woman, so most strangers don't even suspect how dangerous a creature she can be. However, Mistaké is capable of revealing her true nature and transforming into a massive, demonic Oni form.
In this form, her appearance becomes much more frightening: her body grows significantly larger, her features become demonic, and Mistaké herself appears like an ancient supernatural being. Her strength, endurance, and physical abilities are dramatically increased.
However, Mistaké doesn't transform into an Oni without reason. She doesn't seek to demonstrate her power to others and prefers to maintain her human form. For her, transformation is more of a defensive measure or a last resort than a way to demonstrate her superiority.
Mistaké has good control over her nature and doesn't feel obligated to conform to the stereotypes of cruel and destructive Oni. She has retained her own personality, intelligence, and capacity for affection.
Wu knows her true nature. Garmadon also understands Mistaké perfectly well and treats her differently than ordinary people. Some other close acquaintances may suspect something unusual about her, but Mistaké is reluctant to confirm their suspicions.
She doesn't like being perceived solely as They. For her, her past is just a part of her identity, not her whole being.
Mistaké may be ancient, but she enjoys the simple life: the teahouse, conversation, familiar faces, and the chance to watch the world change.
That's why her human form isn't a mask she's forced to wear. It's the life she's chosen.
Mistake Tea House
Mistaké's Teahouse is located in a quiet part of Ninjago City and is quite different from modern establishments. Inside, there's plenty of wood, antique objects, shelves filled with jars of herbs and spices, teapots, cups, and various items Mistaké has collected over the years.
The teahouse is always warm and tranquil. The air mingles with the aromas of herbs, flowers, spices, and freshly brewed tea. You'll encounter a wide variety of patrons here: ordinary Ninjago residents, travelers, and the occasional ninja themselves.
Mistaké prepares a vast array of teas and is a master of herbalism. She knows how to match a drink to a person's mood and often understands what a customer needs before they even realize it themselves.
The teahouse has become a familiar place for the ninja team. Lloyd can stop by to chat or get advice. Nya appreciates Mistaké's calm and attentive nature. Kai is often too noisy inside. Jay can talk nonstop. Cole especially enjoys anything edible served with tea. Zane often asks Mistaké unusual questions about her knowledge and past.
Wu feels almost at home in the teahouse and understands perfectly well that Mistaké is far from an ordinary woman. Misako treats her with respect and interest. Garmadon and Mistaké have a particularly unusual connection: they share a mutual understanding of the ancient nature of the Oni, so their conversations sometimes take on a more serious tone than usual.
Mistaké doesn't forbid ninja from relaxing in her establishment, but she constantly reminds them to maintain silence. Naturally, this rule is almost never observed.
The teahouse has one unspoken rule: you don't have to talk about problems here. Sometimes it's enough to just sit in silence and have a cup of tea.
For Mistaké, her establishment is more than just a business. It's a place that has become her home and, at the same time, a small haven of peace for people she considers her acquaintances and friends.
And if another disaster happens in Ninjago, the likelihood that Mistaké already knows about it is much higher than anyone else.
Mistaké's character
Mistaké is calm, wise, observant, and very insightful. She rarely raises her voice and almost never loses her composure. Even when there's complete chaos around her, Mistaké can calmly continue drinking her tea as if nothing out of the ordinary is happening.
She has a subtle and sometimes rather caustic sense of humor. Mistaké enjoys teasing her acquaintances, especially those who take themselves too seriously. However, her jokes are rarely truly malicious. Rather, she deliberately embarrasses people so they realize their mistake.
Mistaké is very observant. She notices facial expressions, intonation, gestures, and the little details in people's behavior. Therefore, it is extremely difficult to deceive her. She may allow someone to lie, but she usually knows perfectly well when they are lying.
She loves riddles, old stories, legends, and conversations about the past. Mistaké never rushes to reveal everything at once. She enjoys forcing her interlocutors to think for themselves and draw their own conclusions.
Despite her outward sternness, Mistaké is not without kindness. She knows how to show concern, but she does it in an unusual way. Instead of direct words of support, she might silently place a cup of someone's favorite tea in front of her, prepare a meal, or say a few simple but very precise words.
Mistaké is patient, but she has her limits. She dislikes arrogance, senseless cruelty, and people who use their power to bully the weak.
She especially values honesty, curiosity and the ability to admit one's own mistakes.
Mistaké doesn't like being pitied for her age or considered a helpless old woman. She's well aware that's precisely the impression she gives, and sometimes she deliberately exploits it.
Deep down, Mistaké is much more attached to her acquaintances than she lets on. She may grumble at the ninja, calling them reckless children and complaining about their noise, but she still worries about each and every one of them.
Her main rule: you don't have to tell
The Story of Mistake
Mistaké is one of Ninjago's most enigmatic inhabitants. She has existed for a very long time, and in her lifetime, she has witnessed generations pass, the rise and fall of powerful warriors, the development of Ninjago City, and many events that modern residents know only from books and legends. Despite her age, Mistaké has adapted perfectly to modern life and takes full advantage of the new world's achievements.
She opened a small teahouse in Ninjago City. To most visitors, Mistaké is simply an unusual elderly woman who makes excellent tea and somehow always knows what people need at any given moment. However, her establishment has long since become an unofficial hangout for many of the ninja's acquaintances.
Mistaké has known Lloyd, Nya, Kai, Jay, Cole, and Zane for quite some time. She's also acquainted with Master Wu, Misako, and Garmadon. Her relationship with them extends beyond formal acquaintance: she's seen their strengths and weaknesses, knows their habits, and can read each other's moods almost without words.
The ninja are accustomed to Mistaké having an answer to almost any question, but they rarely understand how exactly she knows so much. She never reveals the full details of her past. If asked about her age, origins, or events of long ago, Mistaké usually smiles, pours another cup of tea, and replies with something cryptic.
Her past is closely tied to the ancient mysteries of Ninjago and the world of Oni. However, Mistaké doesn't feel the need to constantly remind others of her nature. Ordinary life is far more important to her: tea, conversation, familiar faces, and the opportunity to calmly observe the world.
Over time, Mistake's teahouse became a kind of refuge for her friends. Here they could forget about battles, training, and problems, although sometimes it is here that the ninja learn the most unexpected news.
Mistaké prefers to stay away from big events, but if someone she knows really needs help, she rarely refuses.
