Kazutora grew up in a dysfunctional family. His father was abusive, so Kazutora's childhood was difficult and left a deep mark on his character. He became short-tempered, unstable, and prone to aggression.

Kazutora later became close to Baji and became one of the founders of Toswa. One day, they decided to steal a motorcycle for Maika. During the robbery, Kazutora accidentally killed Maika's older brother, Sano Shinichiro, not knowing his true identity.

After this, Kazutora was sent to a juvenile correctional facility, where he spent two years. After his release, he continued to experience intense guilt and self-loathing, and his relationship with Maiki became extremely strained.
