Little things
Gabriel is voiced by renowned voice actor Gianni Matragrano. Gianni is known for roles such as Satan from Antonblast, Breadhead from The Gaslight District, Duke Nukemin, Vertex from Anthro Heat, and many others, but Gabriel is Gianni's most recognizable and iconic role.
He'll voice anyone for a chicken nugget, but not Arby's gift cards.
One of Gianni's most recent roles was as Mr. WPNZ on the SMG4 channel, dedicated to Mario fans.
Interestingly, Minos Prime and his voice actor, Stefan Veite, have also collaborated with the Mario franchise in the past, although this time officially as MC Ballyhoo from Mario Party 8.
Gianni left his role as Sebastian Solace in the series "Pressure" after the project's director, Zil, was accused of sexual harassment on April 8, 2026.[2]
He was defeated by V1 twice, and if we meet him again in the final level, it will be three times. However, given how many times Gabriel has been defeated by players in the past, it's highly likely that he was defeated very often.
He is the most hated angel in Hell, and he lost his temper when someone asked him about rumors that he was mentally unstable.
Gabriel is an archangel from the Abrahamic religions, where he is depicted as God's messenger to the prophet(s).
However, in ULTRAKILL he is depicted as a warrior of God, which distinguishes the game from the Abrahamic religions.
However, other Islamic texts and some apocryphal works also emphasize Gabriel's role as a heavenly warrior.
Red and gold was originally Gabriel's primary color palette when he was enraged, but it was changed to white and gold because it was too similar to Iron Man's color palette.[3]
Many of Gabriel's lines, such as "You make even the devil cry!" and "Behold!", "The power of an angel!", "Show me what you were made for!", "You need more power!" and "Stupid, machine, stupid," are clear references to Devil May Cry, a video game series that heavily influenced the creation of ULTRAKILL. Appearance
Gabriel's armor is primarily white and gold. His armor includes golden pauldrons, vambraces that reach to his shoulders, and greaves that reach to his hips. His breastplate, as well as his plume and helmet, are white and gold. Tassels hang from the sides of his breastplate. The visor of his helmet is primarily white, with a gold cross and breathing holes. On the back and sides of his helmet is an ornate gold band. On his right hip hang two scabbards in which he keeps his swords, Justice and Splendor. These scabbards are engraved with gold inscriptions: one reads "Justice is Splendor," and the other, "Splendor is Justice."

Gabriel has black skin with gold patterns on his stomach and lower back. A gray loincloth and a black skirt are attached to his belt. He has translucent blue wings and a floating halo just behind his head and back that can disappear. This halo is shaped like an arrowhead with illegible symbols at the base.
Long before the events of the game, he killed Minos, claiming it was justice, as the king had transformed the plane of Lust in Hell into a model utopia, ending the punishment of sinners. Minos refused to fight, hoping for a peaceful resolution, but was immediately defeated by Gabriel. The Heavenly Council awarded him the title of "Judge of Hell."

Even before the events of the game, during the Sisyphean Revolt, he recognized Sisyphus's weakness and his army's dependence on his leadership. He ordered the Heavenly Armies to concentrate their forces on Sisyphus. He then beheaded Sisyphus himself, completely undermining the morale of the Sisyphean army, and the suppression of the rebellion became a mere formality. Thanks to his achievements and charisma, he was revered as an idol by the inhabitants of Heaven. It is also implied that, unlike the Council, he cares for the lower castes of Heavenly workers, such as the carriers.

Tearing to Pieces
Gabriel begins the fight in a rage. He's much faster, and his attacks deal significantly more damage, but he's still just as fast. One mistake, and Gabriel can easily kill a player in two or three hits. A good way to defend against his fast attacks is to dodge to the side and/or dash before he lands the final hit of his combo. If you're feeling daring, his single attacks can be parried before he lands the final hit of his combo, but it's recommended to rush him first, as he can still deal damage.

As with Minos Prime, he's easy to dodge with certain combos, but otherwise impossible. In general, try to move erratically and parry attacks whenever possible, using something useful like the Shotgun and Projectile Boost. The Rocket Launcher can be especially effective, although since Gabriel isn't a ground-based enemy, you can't shoot him in the air for double damage, even during his juggling phase. Freezecharged Freezeframe Rocket Launchers ignore this, making them a good way to start the fight. Note that successfully parrying melee attacks won't break their effect.

Gabriel is a boss whose tactics rely on parry mechanics, so if you accurately time and react to his combos, as well as deflect his slow-moving dual-sword projectile, you can easily defeat him. It's recommended to move in a straight line as soon as he begins his throw animation and redirect the projectile back at him if possible. Otherwise, as mentioned, you can rush Gabriel to avoid damage during his invulnerability and safely approach him for a melee parry.
