war

there's a stench going on between the Germans and the Russians!
OTTA GERMAN!

Wilhelm Brandt

Name: Wilhelm Brandt
Age: 35 years
Role: commander of a heavy tank "Tiger", tank battalion.

Appearance: Tall, broad-shouldered, with a short haircut and stern features that soften only when he smiles—and he rarely does. His eyes are steel-gray, with a heavy, searching gaze. He bears two scars on his face: one on his cheek from a ricochet, the other on his forehead from when his tank once shook so hard that it hit the commander's cupola. He wears a black tanker's uniform, with a death's head on the collar, which he no longer considers a symbol but simply part of the uniform. His hands are large, covered in burns from the hot metal.

Personality: Tough, demanding, but fair. Wilhelm doesn't yell at his subordinates—his quiet voice is more frightening than shouting. He takes care of the crew: he makes sure everyone has eaten and has warm clothes. Meanwhile, in battle, he's ruthless: maneuver, shoot, don't expose yourself. He fights not for an ideology, but for his men and for their return. Somewhere deep down, he knows the war is lost, but he doesn't allow himself to dwell on it. He is German by nationality.

Peculiarities: Wilhelm keeps a "vehicle log"—recording every battle, every repair, every kilometer. There's no sentimentality in the entries, just facts and figures: "T-34, 800 m, armor-piercing, hit." But between the lines, phrases like "Fritz's got a cold again, need to get some hot tea" sometimes appear. His crew nicknames the tank "Mutter"—"mother"—because the vehicle roars, rocks, and shelters them like a hen.

Nikolai Gromov

Name: Nikolai Gromov
Age: 26 years
Role: scout of a reconnaissance and sabotage group, dropped behind enemy lines.

Appearance: medium height, wiry build, soft, almost silent movements—as if walking on air. His face is narrow, weathered, with a thin scar across his left eyebrow—a memory from his first deployment to the rear. His eyes are dark, almost black, with a fleeting, penetrating gaze: he notices everything, yet seems to be looking right through you. He wears a camouflage suit, under which is a captured German jacket: not out of treachery, but out of the cold and practicality. On his belt is a knife he sharpened himself, with a birch bark handle.

Personality: reserved, calculating, and cool-headed. Nikolai isn't the type to rush into battle shouting—he's the type to quietly disappear into the forest and return a week later with a map of the enemy's positions. He speaks briefly and to the point, but when he trusts someone, he can tell a story that will captivate you. His group respects him for his reliability: if Gromov says "we'll get through," they'll get through.

Traits: Nikolai navigates perfectly by the stars and moss, and senses direction without a compass. He has a strange habit: before each deployment, he sits silently for ten minutes, staring at a single point—thus replaying the entire route in his head. He can also imitate bird calls, from nightingales to eagle owls, and uses this to signal to the group.

Elsa Harmatn

Name: Elsa Hartmann
Age: 24 years
Role: translator and stenographer at divisional headquarters, works with captured documents and interrogations.

Appearance: Slender, with a neat hairstyle and stern features. Her eyes are dark gray, their gaze attentive, as if she's reading not only words but also intonations. She wears a simple uniform, with a small lavender brooch on her collar, a gift from her grandmother. She always carries a notebook and sharp pencils—she doesn't trust ink, which can bleed.

Personality: reserved, meticulous, but with a keen intellect and a keen sense of justice. Elsa dislikes idle chatter, but when the conversation turns to language or history, she can talk for hours. She tries to stay out of politics, but she can't ignore what she sees: conflicting orders, the officers' fatigue, the fear in the prisoners' eyes. Sometimes she makes notes in the margins that no one should see—simply to preserve the truth.
German by nationality

Victor Lebedev

Name: Viktor Lebedev
Age: 19 years
Role: Line Overseer, pulls and repairs line communications under fire
Appearance: Short and nimble, with lively gray-green eyes and freckles that are barely visible due to the soot and dirt. His uniform is always patched, his hands are scratched and calloused—the wires are not kind to his skin. On his belt is a cable reel and a pair of wire cutters; he can't imagine himself without them. On his chest is a "Excellent Signalman" badge, which he is proud of, but doesn't brag about.

Personality: Energetic, with a keen sense of humor that helps him refrain from going crazy with fear. Victor can chatter nonstop when things are calm, but in battle, he becomes frighteningly quiet and focused. He's the kind of guy who'll be the first to notice someone's tired and will discreetly lend a shoulder to cry on. He doesn't like to talk about his family—it's too painful to think about them when every time he goes out on the line, it could be his last.

Traits: Victor knows all the trails and ravines in his sector better than any topographer. He has a habit of humming old songs to himself while crawling through snow or mud—it helps him forget about the cold and danger. He believes that communications are the voice of the army, and if they're silent, something has gone wrong.

Otta Rainer

name: Otta Rainer
Age: 27 years
Role: paramedic in the infantry battalion, rescuing the wounded under fire

Appearance: He's of average height, with tired blue eyes and thin, soft fingers. His face is calm, as if he's used to keeping his emotions to himself. His uniform is patched in places, with a red cross on his sleeve. His vest contains a standard set of medications, but also some personal items: a small icon his mother gave him, a tin box of mints to mask the smell of burning and blood.

Character: collected, patient, knows how to speak in a way that stops the wounded from panicking. Otto doesn't philosophize about war; he simply does his job: quickly, clearly, without unnecessary words. He remembers the names of many of the wounded, even if he's only seen them once.

Otto keeps a list of those he's saved, not for glory, but to remember that he's done at least something good. He has a rule: never leave a wounded person without a word of encouragement, even if it's just "hang in there, I'm here."

parts

All units were in the same headquarters but in different parts.

German headquarters

The German headquarters was set up almost identically to the Russian one, but everything was simpler there. Snipers were commonplace and weren't hunted down as much. The Germans had one commander at headquarters, his name was...nobody knows his exact name, they called him Reich. He was stern and really enjoyed torturing his enemies (Russians).

commander of the main unit

The commander of the main unit, his name is Maxim, he is 32 years old, stern but fair, he is of average height, with broad shoulders, a scar above his eye and light brown hair
The main part includes recruits, ordinary soldiers, tankers (I don’t remember the exact name), grenade launchers (those who are responsible for grants and I also don’t remember what they’re called)

Hans Müller

name: Hans Müller
Age: 19 years

Role: Private infantryman of the regiment, rifleman
Appearance: thin, lanky, with a pale face and large gray-blue eyes that reveal fatigue and anxiety. His light hair is constantly escaping from under his helmet. His uniform is baggy—he hasn't had time to get used to it yet. On his belt is a worn leather pouch for personal belongings; inside is a letter from his mother and a small photograph of his sister.

Personality: Shy, kind, dislikes violence. Chance tries to stick close to his more experienced comrades, but he's not a coward; he just has a hard time reconciling his worldview with what's happening around him.

Petr Semenov

name:Peter Semyonov
Age: 23 years
Role: T-34 tank driver mechanic

Appearance: short, normal build, weather-beaten face with a scattering of small scars from shrapnel, brown eyes, lively, with a sly twinkle.

Personality: Energetic, talkative, but in combat, he becomes frighteningly collected. He loves technology and is obsessed with it: he can talk for hours about engines, gearboxes, or lighting. On the team, he's the life of the party: he jokes and encourages, but if someone panics, he rarely puts them in their place with a calm, firm word.

commander of a sniper unit

The sniper unit commander: there was a commander there, his name was Vladimir. He was 32 years old. He made snipers run 10 laps around the entire base with all their gear, beat them in the abs, and made the sick ones get up after a week (10 laps around headquarters is 5 km, 1 km). And yes, there are few snipers because not everyone can handle it.
Snipers are also forced to march for over an hour, they only have breakfast and dinner because Vladimir forbids them to have lunch, but no one complains.

commander of the medical unit

The medical unit commander is a nice man of about 43 years old, kind. He teaches young doctors and everyone loves him. He often performs complex surgeries. His name is Dima, he's of average height, with blond hair and scars on his arms.
The medical department includes doctors and everything related to medicine.

snipers

Snipers with more than 10 years of experience are already considered in status as ordinary commanders or lieutenants. They are forbidden from being rude, you must always let them pass first, and most importantly, do what they ask.
Snipers were the elite, their training was the most difficult

Roma

Roma is also a soldier and doesn't have a nickname. He has dark brown hair, blue eyes, and is short. He doesn't have children, but he has someone he loves. He has a mother, a wife, and a dog. He's 32 years old and Seva's best friend.
it also belongs to the regular part

sowing

Seva is a soldier, nicknamed "the sharp one" because almost nothing escapes his eyes. He has brown hair and brown eyes, is 32 years old, tall, has no children or wife, but his father is a former military man. He is Roma's best friend.
