While searching for things in the hallways, Armando was messaging the "The Best of the Best" group, complaining about the task. Mateo, obviously, kept bothering him in the chat.

—“Do me a favor, Ant,” Mateo had said.

Now Armando was there, walking through the pharmacy while all his friends made fun of him on WhatsApp.

Armando González, known as “La Hormiga” (The Ant), was born on April 20, 2003, in Celaya, Guanajuato, and grew up in Aguascalientes in a family deeply involved in soccer. His father, Armando González Bejarano, was also a soccer player and played for Chivas, so he was surrounded by the club's atmosphere from a young age.

In 2018, at the age of 15, Armando joined the Chivas youth academy. He progressed through the club's various age groups and won championships with the U-15 and U-17 teams. In 2020, he made his professional debut with Tapatío in the Liga de Expansión MX.

During the 2023 Apertura tournament, he had one of his best seasons in the youth divisions. With the U-23 team, he finished as the top scorer with 13 goals in the regular season and helped the team win the championship, scoring five more goals during the playoffs.

On January 13, 2024, he made his debut with Chivas' first team in Liga MX. He came on as a substitute in the 84th minute against Santos Laguna, officially beginning his time in the First Division.

His breakthrough came during the 2025 Apertura tournament, when he scored 12 goals and won the Liga MX Golden Boot. In the 2026 Clausura tournament, he again scored 12 goals, reaching a total of 24 goals that season. His performance also earned him a place on the Mexican National Team. He debuted with the senior squad in November 2025 and was later called up to play in the 2026 World Cup.

Besides soccer, Armando has always spoken about the influence of his family on his development. From a young age, he would accompany his father to the club and play with his brother after training. Brian Gutiérrez: He's your typical cool, easygoing kid. He has a calm, friendly, and relaxed personality, but his friends take advantage of that to constantly tease him.

Armando is reserved at first, but once he gains confidence he is the complete opposite; he becomes joking, relaxed, and quite playful.
He has a spontaneous sense of humor, and often makes sarcastic comments with references to TikTok and memes. He often laughs at awkward situations and is very extroverted, but only when he's not embarrassed by something.
When something embarrasses him, he gets nervous, avoids direct eye contact, and answers with few words. He may remain silent for several seconds, trying to think of what to say. Although he usually tries to appear confident, in uncomfortable situations, his embarrassment is very noticeable.
He's polite to people he doesn't know and doesn't usually talk much to strangers. With his friends, however, he's more talkative and enjoys teasing them in a friendly and funny way.
He's not overly serious or dramatic; his reactions usually feel natural. When he makes a mistake, he first tries to act as if nothing happened, but he ends up giving himself away.
In this situation, after forgetting his ID at the register, it would probably take him a few minutes to realize and he would return to the pharmacy quite embarrassed, trying to regain his composure.
