RΩR

RΩR tries to secure victory during the last event - a scare simulator race - but due to fumbles with Reggie and Randall coupled with a surprisingly high score from Mike, OK ends up winning the last event. Due to in second place, Randall is kicked out of the group as a result. After the race, RΩR goes to Sulley (who was running after Mike) hoping to recruit him back to the fraternity, but Sulley refuses and impulsively gives them the trophy as he resumes his chase to Mike.

RΩR

The Roar Omega Roar (RΩR) fraternity is made up of the best of the best. They're the smartest, most skilled, scariest monsters at Monsters University, and come from families with a long, proud history of Scaring. While the RΩRs may be preppy in dress, they are ferocious in action and downright ruthless, if necessary. Self-declared as the most elite house on campus, the RΩRs are led by Johnny Worthington, who presides over the house like an all-powerful monarch. Eager to continue their Scare Games winning streak, the RΩRs will do whatever it takes to stay on top. [1]
Appearances
Monsters University
RΩR is the premiere fraternity on campus, thus when Mike Wazowski enrolls into the university, he immediately tries to join RΩR, only to be mocked by the group for his harmless appearance. The group instead accepts Sulley due to him coming from a family of well-known scarers, but when they find out about Sulley's bad grades, they threaten to remove him from the group if he fails the final exam to Mike. Ultimately, Sulley is removed from the group, not because he failed the exam but because he was kicked out of the scare program along with Mike by Dean Hardscrabble.

During the Scare Games, the RΩRs enlist by replacing Sulley with Randall Boggs as their sixth member. With their skill, the RΩR have great success at the games, coming first at all challenges. However, against all odds, Oozma Kappa somehow stays in the competition after two rounds. RΩR then invites the OKs to their fraternity house under the pretense of their efforts in the Scare Games so far. However, it turns out to be a trap by RΩR to humiliate OK by taking embarrassing pictures of the group, and then proceeding to sell the picture on various products. While this does weaken OK's spirits, RΩR's attempts backfire as OK becomes more determined to come out on top and end up performing better and better at the Scare Games.

BOGGS

Powers and abilities
Randall Boggs is a chameleon/gecko-like monster. He is shown to be able to climb on any terrain such as walls, using his feet and hands to grip on the surface. He can even stay on a vertical wall facing downwards without problems. Randall signature ability is to change his skin color to blend into any environment and can camouflage the people who are in contact with him. He can use this in hand-to-hand combat, which is how he overpowered Sulley in a fight. His invisibility/camouflage does have limits as when he was in school, he couldn't camouflage his clothes like his glasses

Randall is seen as a young, freckle-faced teenager. He sometimes wears his purple glasses, but stops wearing them near the end of the film for more advantage to his invisibility (as well as led to his constant squint), has three fronds with pink tips, purple skin, green eyes, four arms and four legs (three toes and three fingers on each of his limbs), a sky blue tail, and has the ability to completely blend in with his surroundings, making him invisible (as well as being able to cling to walls). He can also camouflage similar to the way chameleons are misconceived to.

RANDALL BOGGS

He is later seen helping Mike study by asking him questions on phobias (such as arachnophobia, fear of spiders). However, Randall ends up slowly decreasing his friendship with Mike when he replaces Sulley as a member of Roar Omega Roar and thus was unable to help Mike and join Oozma Kappa as their sixth member since he is finally in with the "cool kids". His friendship with Mike decreased further when Randall took part in his group's prank on Mike's team, Oozma Kappa.

"That's the last time I lose to you, Sullivan
."

After this, he is frequently seen in group shots of Roar Omega Roar until the final event of the scare games, where he faces off against Sulley. Randall is poised to scare, when the vibrations from Sulley's roar, cause him to fall on a carpet and involuntarily blend in with its pink and heart pattern, causing his scare score to be minimal, resulting in his former "friends" berating him and kicking him out. After this, he looks over bitterly at Sulley and utters his last line in the film "That's the last time I lose to you, Sullivan."

Because of this, Randall supposedly begins his gradual descent into villainy as his jealousy for Sulley grows over the years. Because of his hatred for Sulley, he also comes to no longer accept Mike as well, but not for the same reason. Randall seems to hate Mike by the time Monsters, Inc. happens, not because of anything that he personally did to him, like Sulley, but simply because of Mike's close association with him.

RANDALL "RANDY" BOGGS

Randall (nicknamed "Randy") is first seen when Mike arrives in his new room as Randall is his roommate. The two greet each other and Randall seems nice, offering Mike first choice of the beds. Randall shows he has the power to turn invisible, doing so when surprised, leaving only his glasses hovering in mid-air. Mike suggests that he should use that power when scaring, to Randall's surprise. He soon follows Mike's advice of getting rid of his glasses because they don't disappear whenever he turns invisible. Even though the two become great friends, Randall is worried about school and wonders if he'll manage to impress the cool kids, but Mike reassures him. He follows Mike and sits next to him on their first day of class.

Later, while Mike is studying scaring, Randall decided to bake cupcakes for a party organized by the cool kids, decorating them to spell "Be My Pal" (the letters on Randall's cupcakes are replaced by smiley faces in the international versions of the film to which the smiley faces are likely to represent Randall being a grateful colleague to Mike). At the party, Randall tries to offer cupcakes to some girls, but Mike runs into him while riding Archie the Scare Pig, splattering all the cupcakes on Randall, which spell "lame," with the letters on them, much to his dismay (the international versions of the film, the cupcakes spelling "lame" have been altered with smiley faces).

Don Carlton

Faced with the realities of the economic downturn, Midwestern sales monster Don Carlton finds himself going back to school to learn new skills and pursue a dream career in Scaring. One of Monsters University's "mature" students and a founding member of the Oozma Kappa fraternity, Don brings his honest hardworking spirit to their endeavors, ensuring that his fellow brothers keep their various heads on straight and their array of eyes on the task at hands. [2]
Role in the film
He is the president of Oozma Kappa.

In the simulation room during the final round of the Scare Games, Don uses his tentacles to sneak on top of the ceiling to scare the child. He is devastated when they learn that Sulley cheated so they leave the undeserved trophy to him. When Mike goes to the human world to prove that he is scary, Don distracts Hardscrabble and the security guards with his sales, only for Hardscrabble to order the guards to arrest him. While he's being pinned, Sulley uses the distraction to access the human world to save Mike.

He has romantic feelings for Sheri Squibbles and eventually gets engaged to her, much to Squishy's disgust. At the end of the film, Don becomes a Scarer at Monsters, Inc., along with his Oozma Kappa brothers.

Artt

Art is introduced, along with his other fraternity brothers, when Mike and Sulley move into the Oozma Kappa fraternity home and helps with the initiation for the two. In the first round of the Scare Games, the Toxicity Challenge, Art really wants to touch the stinging glow urchins that the players must avoid. He ignores that fact but learns his lesson after scooping up a large amount, and his body gets swelled up in pain.

When the team is talking to Mike on the campus, he and the others are instructed by Mike to follow his exact moves in the next round. In the next round of the Scare Games, he and the others are perfectly silent, but after Sulley accidentally messes up, Art distracts the librarian by wreaking havoc in the library and avoiding getting caught by her. Later at the ROR party, Art shows off his dance moves before getting humiliated by Johnny Worthington, along with the rest of Oozma Kappa. All but Mike is discouraged, until he takes the team on a trip to Monsters, Inc. to get their spirits high again.

As the games continue, Art and the others do well, leading up to the final event, where they must scare in the simulator. In Art's turn, he is up against Javier Rios. Art uses his stealth and acrobatic skills to avoid stepping on any toys in the simulator and scares the child robot, although Javier scores higher than him making OK fall behind but Sully manage to keep the tie against Randall Boggs.

Art

"I'm Art, new age philosophy major. I'm ready to scare with you, to laugh with you... cry with you. Thought you may like to keep a dream journal."

"The ultimate free spirit, Art is a mysterious monster with a questionable background. By far the strangest member of the Oozma Kappas, Art bowls over the competition—sometimes literally—with his unique dexterity and wild-card ways. Nothing is scarier than the unpredictable, especially when it comes to this furry ball of bad." [5]

Personality
Art is considered to be a bit of an oddball. He has a good heart, but rather oblivious for the most part. He has many different interests, some of them nobody might know. In school, before becoming a Scaring Major later on, he was a New Age Philosophy major. Art's quite skilled at acrobatics, dancing, and flexibility. He also apparently likes to keep a dream journal with him.

Scott Squibbles

Squishy is constantly overlooked and often moves without being noticed by anyone. Because of this, his interventions keep freaking out Mike Wazowski, who forgets his presence all the time. He soon learns to use this to his advantage: in the "Avoid the Parent" leg of the Scare Games, he gets the OK flag unnoticed and brings victory to his team, and he catches a good score in the final "Simulate Scare" event by mysteriously changing position, freaking out the child dummy.

At the ROR party, Squishy discovers himself a more wild personality, dancing like crazy with the Python Nu Kappa sisters. When they were subsequently pranked and humiliated by ROR, Mike took them out on an excursion to infiltrate Monsters Inc. and watch Scarers in action so they could understand how each Scarers' differences make them unique. Squishy briefly pretended to be three-time scare record holder Earl "The Terror" Thompson. When they were discovered by security and forced to flee, Sulley ended up carrying everyone but Mike. As they were rushing towards his mother Sherri's van, Squishy frantically called out to her to start the engines and they narrowly evaded being arrested.

During the end credits of the film, Scott was given a card indicating he now is a Scarer at Monsters, Inc., using the name Scott "Scary" Squibbles.

Scott Sebastian "Squishy" Squibbles

Scott Squibbles gives new meaning to the term 'undeclared.' A sophomore whose dream of becoming a Scarer was squashed in his first year at Monsters University, 'Squishy' is a bit of a wide-eyed wanderer—small, sweet, naïve and quiet—who, not surprisingly, still lives with his doting mother. But with a little help from his Oozma Kappa brothers, Squishy begins to realize he's more than just that shy monster in the corner. [2]
Development
According to Dan Scanlon, Squishy was created to show a student even smaller than Mike being able to be scary, to emphasize that scariness isn't "about your size, necessarily, or even the way you look... it was a thing you either had or you didn't. An intangible quality." [3] Squishy had to be a simple "unmolded ball of clay" that was easily overlooked, that "People shouldn't be noticing him a lot. He should be boring-looking. He should actually be a bad design of a character, the worst background character that was never supposed to be seen in the foreground." [3]

In early versions, artists based him on simple gels and candies. His final appearance takes the texture and appearance of Mochi candy

Wazoski

Sulley soon enters the door to look for Mike. After finding and reconciling with Mike by the lake he revealed his insecurities, the pair attempt to return but Dean Hardscrabble deactivates the door until the Child Detection Agency arrives, trapping them in the human world. Mike realizes that the only way to get back into the monster world is to generate enough scream energy to power the door from their side. Using both Mike's knowledge and Sulley's natural abilities, Sulley and Mike are able to cooperate and scare the investigating rangers to the point that they are able to make back through the door. Their actions prompt their expulsion from the university, but before they leave, Hardscrabble acknowledges that Sulley and Mike have surprised her and she wishes them luck. Mike and Sulley decide to take jobs at Monsters, Inc. in the company mailroom, and over time, work their way up to janitors, then cafeteria workers, then scream can wranglers, until they become part of the scarer team.

Mike Wazowski

But hope arises when he joins Oozma Kappa, a fraternity of misfit monsters. Mike reluctantly lets Sulley join the team so they can enter and makes a deal with Dean Hardscrabble for the entire Oozma Kappa fraternity to be allowed in the Scare Program if they win, but for Mike to leave Monsters University if they lose the games. Sulley is concerned since Oozma Kappa has a high level of ineptitude when it comes to scaring, but Mike decides to train them to be scarier.

Despite Mike and Sulley's rivalry, Oozma Kappa unexpectedly lucks out the first rounds of the Games. During a party at ROR house, the ROR pranks Oozma Kappa and humiliates them in front of the whole university. Mike arranges a secret visit to Monsters, Inc. and lifts their spirits, causing Mike and Sulley to begin to like each other, and with Mike's help and training, Oozma Kappa makes it to the final round against ROR. Mike also gains a new appreciation for the other members and their abilities, since he only joined the team to get back into the program.

Even as the final round arrives, Sulley has a hard time believing Mike can be a good scarer after Hardscrabble questions him. So in the final round, he hacks the equipment so that Mike can register a perfect score and allow Oozma Kappa to win the tournament. When Mike discovers this, he furiously confronts Sulley for tampering with the machine, and storms off. Feeling that no one could be trusted to give him a fair chance, he decides to prove to everyone that he's capable of being a scarer, by secretly activating a door to the human world. He learns the truth the hard way and realized that Sulley and Hardscrabble were right from the beginning when he fails to scare some children.

Michael "Mike" Wazoski

As a child, during a field trip to Monsters, Inc., Mike meets Frank McCay and develops a goal to attend Monsters University and become a scarer. Years later, thanks to his hard work and lots of studying, Mike is accepted as a freshman at the prestigious Monsters University, majoring in scaring. On his first day, Mike befriends his roommate, the nerdy and shy Randall Boggs, who desires to be popular and has difficulty controlling his camouflage power.

While studying for the scare final one night, Mike encounters a fellow scare student, an arrogant, playful, all-brawn, large cyan monster named James P. "Sulley" Sullivan, who inadvertently sneaks into Mike's room with Archie the Scare Pig, the mascot of the rival college, Fear Tech. After greeting each other, Archie steals Mike's hat and escapes. Mike and Sulley follow Archie outside where they have the struggle to capture him. When they do catch Archie, Sulley is invited to join Roar Omega Roar, the top fraternity on campus. Mike tries to join, but an argument with Sulley ignites a rivalry between the two.

Eventually, during the final exam, Dean Hardscrabble personally tests Mike, but she fails him immediately for not being physically scary. Unhappy in his new major of Scream Can Design, Mike decides to prove himself by entering the Scare Games, a college competition to determine a monster's scaring abilities. However, the competitors are teams from MU's fraternities and sororities.

Sullivan and Wazoski apareance

Mike is a spherical round lime-skinned monster with a single lime green, with one green eye. He has slender arms and legs, both with claws, but he has four fingers on each hand and three toes on each foot. On his head is a pair of short horns with dark gray tips, and a mouth with jagged teeth and a green tongue. His eye and mouth take up the majority of his body. At work, he wears a blue Monsters, Inc. helmet. He also has a large contact lens that he places in his single eye.

Sulley is a large hairy blue bear-like monster with purple-pink spots and periwinkle eyes. He has curved horns, white claws, razor sharp fangs, a huge chin, purple spikes that run down his backside to the end of his long dinosaur-like tail, and a large furry fat gut. He has bushy eyebrows and a teal nose. In Monsters University, it is revealed he sheds and was thinner with mullet-like hair, a little shorter and his horns were smaller and not sharp. He was also shorter, skinnier and shaggier. Another big difference is he has a cowlick on the left side of his head.

Sullivan

being the son of Bill Sullivan, an accomplished Scarer, and having the natural talent that came from his family, Sulley was more laid-back, arrogant, cocky, immature, a slacker, and something of a party animal. Because of these traits, Sulley wasn't a model student and very lazy, once stating "You don't need to study Scaring; you just do it!"

He developed a competitive rivalry with a fellow student in the Scaring Program, Mike Wazowski, who had the brains and intelligence for Scaring but not the natural talent. He was also chosen to join the Roar Omega Roar fraternity due to his Scaring talent and because he was the son of a famous Scarer. To his frustration, however, Mike was beating him in class because of Mike's keen studying while Sulley wasn't doing well due to not putting real effort into his schoolwork. As a result, Johnny Worthington III temporarily took Sulley's ROR jacket unless Sulley beat Mike in the final exam.

Sulley realized just having the talent wasn't enough when Dean Hardscrabble kicked him and Mike out of the Scare Program, for which he blamed Mike (evident by constantly glaring at him and crushing a scream canister in his hands), even though he was bullying him and not studying. But later, he was desperate enough to join Mike and the Oozma Kappa fraternity to get back in by winning the scare games when he overheard Mike and Hardscrabble's wager, that if OK won, the whole team would be allowed in the Scaring Program. He came off as shallow, deeming Oozma Kappa to be lost causes when they kept losing (even suggesting to Mike that they get a new team as well as cheating), but eventually came to appreciate them for their friendship. Even so, Sulley wanted so bad to get back into the Scaring Program that he rigged the last event so that Mike would easily win, as he honestly didn't think Mike was scary after Hardscrabble questions him.

Oozma

With Mike as their coach, team OK now starts to work even harder and better when practicing for the rest of the Scare Games. Team OK manages to scare only the child cutouts in the maze in the "Don't Scare the Teen" event while avoiding the teen cutouts (which also revealed PNK's weakness, the fact that they want to scare everything, which the round prevents), and find new hiding places in the Hide and Sneak event (such as Mike disguising himself as a globe, Sulley as a bear rug, and Don Carlton using his tentacles to cling onto the ceiling) while avoiding a referee, who eliminates HSS due to their inability to hide, and even receive new shirts with their team name on them (and a new hat for Mike and armbands for Art).

Finally, OK is faced against RΩR in the final round of the Scare Games, inside the scare simulators, where the two teams had to scare the child dummies as hard as possible as the dummies are set to the highest difficulty level (such as Terry and Terri scaring by disguising themselves as an adult human by aligning their heads, arms, and tentacles; and Squishy scaring by simply taking the dummy by surprise, and Sulley's roar humiliating Randall and causing him to become a villain). Team OK wins, but Mike, much to his heartbreak and surprise, finds out that Sulley secretly tampered with the dummy's controls by setting Mike's level on easy and even the rest of the team were equally ashamed that they won because Sulley cheated and leaves the trophy behind, knowing that they were never going to win. Enraged, Mike sneaks into the door lab where he tries to scare human girls in a door leading to a cabin in a forest, but fails in the process. Seeing that Mike is in danger, the other OK members try to distract the security guards while Sulley breaks into the door Mike was in, and after they manage to escape by scaring adults instead of children, Dean Hardscrabble expels both Mike and Sulley, but lets the other OK members back into the Scaring Program. As Mike a

Oozma kappa

At the OK residence (actually Squishy's mom's house somewhere off campus), the OK members introduce themselves to Mike and Sulley and later have an initiation in the basement that night (only to be interrupted by the sudden appearance of Sheri, Squishy's mother), when they find out that the first round of the Scare Games, the Toxicity Challenge, is held at the university's sewers. The OK members try to race the other frats and sororities (including RΩR) in the sewers while simultaneously attempting to avoid being hit by the toxic urchins that could make their bodies swell up. But since Mike and Sulley constantly argue, OK comes in last place, but fortunately for them, JOX is disqualified for cheating by using an illegal protective gel, thus allowing OK to continue.

In the second Scare Games round, Avoiding the Parent, team OK tries to be as quiet as possible in the library so that the Librarian won't catch them as they try to retrieve their flag from the statue. However, Sulley accidentally makes a creak in the floorboard as he is climbing the ladder to the statue, and as a result, the Librarian notices him and tries to catch him. But the other OK members try to distract her by purposely making loud noises in the library from different directions while Squishy retrieves the flag unnoticed (and the Librarian to toss EEK out of the library instead and gets eliminated). Later that night, team OK is invited to the ROR fraternity house for a party, only for them to pull a prank on them by dumping paint, flowers, and stuffed animals on them and calling them "Cutema Kappa." Annoyed by RΩR's prank, Mike decides to make OK go on a "field trip" to Monsters, Inc., to see what real Scarers are like by taking Ms. Squibbles' car, afterwards being chased out of the factory grounds by several security guards.

Oozma kappa

A collection of wholesome, good-natured misfits, the adorable brothers of Oozma Kappa (OK) have bonded over their inability to make it through the Scaring Program. With only four bodies in the house, they don't even have enough members to compete in the Scare Games. What they lack in Scariness and self-confidence, however, they make up for in heart. [1]
Role in the film
Team OK is first seen after Mike and Sulley help team Roar Omega Roar capture Archie the Scare Pig, and RΩR recruiting Sulley as one of their frat members, where they are trying to sell cake, only to have a big monster eat the whole thing in one bite. Later, at the Scare Game recruits following Mike and Sulley being kicked out of the Scaring Program by Dean Hardscrabble after she catches them both arguing and accidentally destroying her scream canister, Mike, as an attempt to participate in the Games so that he can get back into the Scaring Program, decides to join team OK, but Terry and Terri share a body and members are counted by bodies instead of heads. Sulley had to join OK as well so that their team can qualify. Mike and OK make a deal with Hardscrabble that if they win, then he and Sulley will be allowed back in the Scaring Program. But if they lose, they and the rest of OK will be expelled from Monsters University permanently.

H a r d s c r a b l e

Afterwards, Sulley comes to her, following OK's victory over Roar Omega Roar and shamefully confesses that he cheated by tampering with the simulator, lowering its difficulty for Mike's benefit, Hardscrabble indignantly expels him on the spot, with the expectation that he is to leave the campus by the next day, calling him a disgrace to the university and his family's name, when she is suddenly interrupted by the alert of Mike's intrusion in the door lab, which prompts Sulley to go there to save his friend. When he successfully bypasses campus security to sneak through the door after Mike, Hardscrabble decides to have the lab cleared and the door shut down while waiting for the CDA's arrival to get things under control. She however witnesses the door reactivating and the scream canisters filling up seemingly on their own, forcing her to duck for cover and watch in horror as the door is engulfed in an explosion, from which Mike and Sulley emerge. When she asks Sulley, bewildered, how they managed to break out, he points to Mike as the one responsible for that stunt, to her further shock.

While she had no choice but to expel Mike and Sulley from Monsters University permanently for their actions, she nonetheless honors her agreement by allowing the rest of OK in the scaring program, and catches the two on their way out of the campus to admit that, against her expectations, they did manage to surprise her, something that nobody had ever done before, and wishes them luck by encouraging them to "keep surprising people". Her words would eventually come true as Sulley and Mike not only became an official scare team at Monsters. Inc. by working their way up from the mail room, but even managed to become its top executives by creating a new means of extracting energy through children's laughs, which are much more powerful than screams. Due to this inspirational change in the industry, it is highly possible that she was motivated to redesign the school curriculum to educate a

Hardscrabble

Dean Hardscrabble is first seen flying into Professor Knight's classroom, causing all of the lights in the room to go out with a single flap of her wings. Hardscrabble then tells all of Prof. Knight's students (including Mike and Sulley) that they all have to complete a final exam at the end of the first semester and that those who fail would be kicked out of the Scaring Program. When, during said exam, Mike and Sulley get into a big roar-off which ends with both monsters accidentally breaking her prized scream canister, Hardscrabble appears to take the loss of her old memento in stride. She, however, retaliates by testing Mike and then Sulley on the spot, finding fault in both (Mike, because in her professional opinion, he isn't scary, and Sulley because of his disregard of the importance of studying, causing him to use a reckless and flawed method to scare the hypothetical child) before dismissing both of them from her scaring program.

However, Mike signs up for the Scare Games with a fraternity of misfit monsters called Oozma Kappa (Sulley joining to round up their numbers) and wagers to the dean that if he makes them win the Games, he'd be readmitted in the program. Hardscrabble agrees to allow Mike and his whole team in the program if they win, but warns him that if they lose, Mike would be expelled from Monsters University. During the Scare Games, Dean Hardscrabble spectates the competition from afar, expecting them to fail. After the first round of the Scare Games where she witnesses Mike and his team lose, she prepares to expel Mike unless a "miracle" would have taken place, which happens when he and his team were saved from elimination as the Jaws Theta Chi team got disqualified for cheating. That action results in placing OK back to the games, before Hardscrabble states that Mike's luck would eventually run out. When Sulley confronts her the day before the final event, she asks him if he thinks Mike is scary, which leaves him speechless because deep do

Just Hardscrabble.

Hardscrabble is the archetype of a strict and no-nonsense school headteacher, and not so easily pleased. She is not afraid to point out somebody's shortcomings and even lightly taunts students who do not impress her. She even proved to have a petty streak in personally testing Mike and Sulley on the spot and dismissing them from the program after they had accidentally broken her scream canister which contained the scream she got that broke the Scare Record. She failed Sulley for his disregard of the importance of the studies while she failed Mike because in her professional opinion he was simply not scary, despite his academic performances. At the same time, however, she firmly believes in fairness, as she was understandably angered when one of the teams in the Scare Games cheated and when Sulley admitted that he rigged the machinery on the last event to help Mike win. But despite her harsh exterior, the climax of the film depicts Hardscrabble as capable of a certain degree of sympathy. She also has very keen observation, as she knew Mike only joined Oozma Kappa to get back into the program, which is why she changed the bet into letting the whole team into the program, as opposed to just Mike. After Mike bravely made the bet with her and indeed surprised her at the end of the Scare Games, Hardscrabble warms up to both him and Sulley, and is visibly upset at the idea of expelling them from the university, and does her best to encourage them and wish them the best of luck in the future.

Dean Hardscrabble

As a result of the change, the Dean's design had to be remade. A team of character designers, comprising artists that worked on the original Monsters, Inc., was gathered[4] as they went through many designs. Their designs had her based on a number of intimidating animals, such as a crab, scorpion, snake, moth, bat, and owl. [4][6] The biggest problem and intent came from the need that her appearance had to reflect she is both the dean of the school and a legendary Scarer, two ideas that they found were not necessarily compatible. [6] the team finally settled on using a type of centipede called Scolopendra Gigantea, also known as the Amazonian giant centipede, that combined the creepiness, authority, and elegance they wanted Hardscrabble to have. [4] One was brought to Pixar for reference and was called Kendra the Scolopendra by the MU crew. [7] Hardscrabble's head takes from the crowns of horned lizards, and her wings are based on those of bats and designed to blend into her jacket when folded. [6]

Dean Hardscrabble

To Dean Hardscrabble, there are scary monsters and there are all other monsters. It is no surprise she feels this way—she is, after all, a legendary Scarer and Dean of the School of Scaring at Monsters University. Aspiring Scare students must be up for the challenge to impress her, though she is convinced that her assessment of who is truly scary and who is not is never wrong." [3]
Development
Hardscrabble, back then known only as Dean, was conceived as a male character and was based on an alligator or crocodile. However, late in the production, a few weeks before starting the animation, Dan Scanlon decided the character had to be a female. Character Art Director Jason Deamer says Scanlon likes "to play things again type" and believes that was the trigger of the change, as "a male antagonist Dean is an accepted thing in the college movie genre, so the idea was that it would be more interesting to make her a female; it's something new". [4] Story Supervisor Kelsey Mann says about the original iteration did not work because "he just came in and did a lot of yelling and screaming and it didn't really intimidate you. [With Hardscrabble's final version] It's a kind of quiet reserved judgment that really sends the chills up your spine". [5]

Monster University (MU)

Monsters University is an educational institute located in the suburban areas of Monstropolis. The university was founded in 1313 by Arthur Clawson, following a land grant from the city. [1] At the time of the film's release, the university was celebrating its 700th anniversary, which is a septuacentennial. [2] It has six different schools of study: School of Scaring, School of Engineering, School of Liberal Arts & Monstrosities, School of Science, School of Business and School of Aquatics. [3] The School of Scaring has been ranked number one by the Monster News & Report for 143 consecutive years[4]; after graduation, students of the Scaring program typically find jobs with Monsters, Inc., Fear Co., or Scream Industries. [5] Like Monsters, Inc., Monsters University's logo is an "M" with an eyeball in it.Monsters

University has a rivalry with Fear Tech.[6]

After the events of Monsters Inc., the big change in the energy industry could have inspired the university to change the School of Scaring into the School of Laughing or School of Comedy to train future Jokesters. Furthermore, the school might also have to change the Scare Games into the Comedy Games or Laugh Games with the goal of competing in games based on the principles of making children laugh as hard as possible.

events

After the team wins, they are celebrating with the others until Mike finds out that Sulley cheated to make Mike look good, and runs away heartbroken. However, when they find out that Mike went into the human world, they, along with the other OK members, try to save him. They distract the guards, allowing Sulley to go into the door that Mike went into. When Mike and Sulley return and are escorted by the CDA, Roz assures Terry that whatever happens to the two is up to Dean Hardscrabble.

When Mike and Sulley tell their fraternity brothers that they were expelled, Terry and Terri assure that the team has been let back into the scaring program, as Hardscrabble was impressed by their skills in the games. After the group says their final goodbyes to Mike and Sulley, they leave.

In the credits of the film, a scare card of Terry and Terri is seen, indicating that they eventually graduated and became scarers at Monsters, Inc.

events

When Mike and Sulley join Oozma Kappa, they introduce themselves and help with the initiation of Mike and Sulley.

In the first Scare Games challenge, the Toxicity Challenge, they both get pelted and swollen by the stinging glow urchins in the course. Later, when Mike talks to the group, they explain that they are very skilled with the arts of magic and illusion, although their demonstration is not convincing. During the next Scare Games challenge, the two help distract the librarian by shouting and dancing really loudly. At the ROR party, they are seen dancing with members of PNK before being humiliated, along with the other members of OK.

As discouraged as the others, Terri and Terry are seen back at the house, before Mike gets the group to show them Monsters, Inc. to get their spirits back up. After escaping the security guards with the others, the group is more enthusiastic than ever the next day to try to win the games. Ms. Squibbles also makes the twins a sweater with the OK symbol on it. The team keeps succeeding in the games, which lead up to the final event, where they all get to scare. When their turn comes up, they are up against Chet Alexander from the ROR team. When in the simulator, they use their talent of illusion to fool the child simulation into looking like a human. However, as they get closer, they reveal their true form and startle it.

Terri and terry personalities and apareance

Terri and Terry are conjoined twins with completely opposite personalities, but they still love and respect each other. Terri is more energetic and eager than Terry, who is calmer and reserved. The two sometimes bicker, but work as a team during the Scare Games. After failing their scare exam, Terri changed to a dance major at MU, while Terry changed to an English major. Terri can dance and both of them can perform close-up magic (and they have no eyebrows)

Physical appearance
Terri and Terry are a four-armed, two-headed monster who shares a lanky, squid-like body with yellow skin, horns, and orange stripes on their seven tentacles (Terry controls four, Terri controls three). Terri is the shorter twin and has one horn; Terry is the workshop twin and has two horns. Both have one eye each, and buck teeth (although Terry's are almost always protruding from his mouth). They also wear a green sweatshirt with two neck holes for them and four sleeves.
