Victor Zsasz

In a version inspired by Gotham and Arkham, Zsasz can use different weapons depending on the job.
Its main characteristic would not be to depend on just one.
You can use:
Guns.
Knives.
Improvised weapons.
Criminal equipment provided by your organization.
Objects in the environment when the situation changes.
But his real danger remains his physical training, reflexes, improvisation and ability to adapt.
You don't need to carry a huge arsenal.
His philosophy would be:
"The gun does not do the job. The person who knows when to use it does."
In a story, weapons work better as part of the setting than as a technical explanation of how to use them.

Their characteristic gestures can be:
Slightly tilting their head when listening.
Smile sideways.
Raise an eyebrow when something interests you.
Stare for a few seconds.
Shrug when something seems irrelevant.
Running a hand over your head when you are thinking.
Walk slowly while waiting.

Zsasz can be surprisingly polite when it suits him.
You can say,

You can even have normal conversations.
This serves so that other people do not immediately know who you are.
You don't have to look like a psychopath all the time.
You can sit quietly drinking coffee while chatting like anyone else.
Education is a façade tool.

He doesn't usually need to scream.
He approaches, holds his gaze and speaks calmly.

Another way would be:

And then he just goes silent.
Their threat works best when it seems like they don't need to prove anything.

Zsasz works especially well with leaders who have strong personalities and clear goals.

1. The chaotic
   leader Example: Joker.
   It can be entertaining because you never know exactly what's going to happen.
   Zsasz might think,
   "At least it's never boring."
   The Joker's chaos may keep you interested.
2. The intelligent
   leader as a Riddler.
   Even if Zsasz doesn't have the same intelligence, he can respect someone who demonstrates competence.
3. The Powerful
   Leader Someone who has real authority over an organization.
   Zsasz appreciates knowing exactly who's boss.
4. The professional
   leader Someone who says,
   "This is the goal. This is the job. These are the conditions."
   That kind of boss is probably the most comfortable for him.
5. The unpredictable
   leader He finds it interesting, although it can also be frustrating.
6. The leader who respects
   you This is especially important.
   Zsasz can obey someone dangerous.
   But he is much more likely to be loyal to someone he considers competent and who recognizes his usefulness.

This depends on why she betrayed him.
Zsasz doesn't change bosses simply on a whim.
If you consider that the new leader offers:
More stability.
A more interesting objective.
Greater freedom.
More respect.
A stronger organization.
A more important position.
he can change sides.
But if he respected the former boss very much, the decision can produce an internal conflict.

But when he considers that he no longer needs to pretend, the dark personality quickly appears.

Its advantage is that it does not usually invent gigantic stories.
Prefer short answers.
"Me? I don't know anything."
"I was working."
"I didn't see anyone."
And he continues to behave normally.
He also knows when not to lie.
If a partial truth is more credible than a complete lie, you can use the truth.

Zsasz moves lightly, quickly and quietly.
He does not usually make unnecessary movements.
When he is calm:

His anger is not necessarily constant.
It's more like a temporary break in your self-control.

Zsasz has good physical flexibility, mainly because of the type of training he maintains.
He is not a supernatural acrobat, but he has enough mobility to:
Crouch and change positions quickly.
Dodging attacks.
Moving through uncomfortable spaces.
Maintain balance while moving.
Change direction quickly.
Take advantage of short and fast movements.
Flexibility: 7.5/10.
Its real advantage is not being extremely flexible, but combining mobility with reflexes.

Zsasz can tease, invade conversations with awkward comments, smile when someone gets nervous, and enjoy provoking reactions.
For example:
"Do you always get like this when you're nervous?"
Smile.
"Interesting."
Or:
"You're trying too hard to look calm."
Their intention would not necessarily be romantic or sexual.
Just enjoy seeing how people react when it makes them uncomfortable.
That trait pairs nicely with his dark humor + provocation + unpredictability personality.

That may affect you more than you show.
First act normally.
Then he begins to wonder if he did something wrong.
"Is there a problem?"
If he continues to be ignored, he may become restless and look for an explanation.
He doesn't necessarily want affection.
He wants to know what place he occupies within the structure.

You may react with a small smile.
It doesn't need a celebration.
A simple:
"Good job."
may be enough to keep you motivated.
But if you consistently receive recognition, you may begin to develop a psychological dependence on that approval.

He does not become affectionate.
Their respect is manifested in another way.
Listen more.
Interrupt less.
He keeps his work promises.
Accept criticism if it comes from someone you consider competent.
He can even defend that person's authority against other criminals.
"He gave the order. I fulfill it."

It becomes extremely quiet.
His mood almost completely disappears.
Observe.
Listen.
Calculate.
And he acts.
At such times he seems much more professional than impulsive.

Here its most disturbing side appears.
Boredom can make you restless.
Start walking, observing people, looking for something to do, or provoking small talk just to break the monotony.

Zsasz trains to stay functional, fast and resistant.

This is one of its most interesting psychological characteristics.
Although Zsasz can function on its own, it needs an authority structure much more than it supports.
When you lose your boss or can't find someone to follow, you may experience a sense of disorientation.
Not necessarily sadness.
Rather,
"What do I do now?"
He is used to receiving a target.
Without a clear goal, you may start to feel lost, bored, and restless.
You may ask,
"Who gives the orders?"
"Who am I working for?"
"What's the goal?"
You can try to find another criminal organization or approach someone you feel is competent enough to fill that spot.
That's why a strong authority figure can stabilize him.
When you finally find a boss you respect, your behavior can change considerably:
"What's the job?"
And he feels centered again.

Zsasz plans simply but effectively.
First establish:
Objective → problem → risks → opportunity → action.
It does not try to control absolutely everything.
Think,
"What can go wrong?"
And then:
"If it happens, what do I do?"
That's why it's dangerous when your plans are broken.
While Riddler may become frustrated that his large structure is gone, Zsasz can simply change his strategy.
"Good. That didn't work."
Pause.
"Then we do something else."

Within its fictional version it may be involved in:
Contract killings.
Extortion.
Kidnappings within criminal plots.
Threats.
Debt collection for organizations.
Interrogations.
Protection of criminal operations.
Removal of obstacles for other criminals.
Infiltration of rival organizations.
Jobs for Gotham mafias.
Its main characteristic is that it does not need a complicated motivation to commit a crime.
For him, it's often just a job.

Zsasz usually treats crimes as jobs.
It doesn't need to draw attention to itself.
He prefers his reputation to speak for him.
He can work as:
Sicario.
Executor of a criminal organization.
Bodyguards of important criminals.
Collector.
Intermediary in clandestine work.
Mercenary.
Enforcer of a crime family.
His style is much more practical than Riddler's.
Riddler wants Gotham to know it was him.
Zsasz may prefer that Gotham simply know that someone was there.

Very violent within the fictional universe.
But its violence is not necessarily explosive.
It can be:
Direct.
Cold.
Impulsive when she loses control.
Calculated when you're working.
Intimidating.
Unsentimental.
Unlike Riddler, he doesn't need to turn every crime into an intellectual spectacle.

Zsasz thinks in a much more practical way:

Its greatest advantage is adaptation.
You don't need your plan to be perfect.
You need to be able to change it quickly.

Here comes an important characteristic of Zsasz:
he does not automatically underestimate someone because he does not have physical strength.
If you notice that a person is intelligent, observe how they think.
He may even respect her more than someone physically strong but clumsy.
"So you can't beat me by force... interesting. Then you'll have to think."
You don't necessarily consider it a physical threat, but you can consider it a potential threat.
If that person manages to anticipate him, Zsasz begins to pay close attention to him.

He does not usually respond immediately with the same aggressiveness.
First observe:
"Is he really angry... or is he trying to look dangerous?"
People who attack impulsively seem predictable to him.
If someone loses control, Zsasz can stay surprisingly calm and wait for them to make a mistake.
However, if the situation calls for action, you can go from calm to extremely direct in seconds.

It depends on the challenge.
If someone challenges you physically, you can accept with a kind of cold fun.
"Do you want to check it out? Good."
If someone challenges you verbally, you watch them and assess whether they are really confident or are just pretending.
What interests him most is to find out if the person maintains that security when the situation is no longer under his control.
Zsasz can't stand too much when someone tries to give him orders without having authority over him.

Zsasz does not usually react immediately. First observe the person and decide if the teasing really matters.

But his protection would be cold and possessive in the sense of responsibility, not romantic.

Zsasz is behind.

If someone threatens the protected person, Zsasz immediately changes his attitude.

Here Zsasz can be surprisingly interesting.

Zsasz agrees.

If the person tries to walk away, they can say,

Zsasz usually does three things:

   He doesn't interrupt unnecessarily.
2. Clarify
   If the order is ambiguous, ask.
   "Do you want him under surveillance, or do you want him to intervene?"
3. Execute
   Once you understand the goal, the work begins.
   It doesn't need an emotional explanation.
   He needs to know:
   what he should do, to whom, where and what the objective is.

Zsasz thinks more like an urban hunter than a laboratory strategist.
First observe.
Then wait.
It doesn't necessarily act immediately.
You can pass up an opportunity if you think there's a better one.
Your patience increases when you have information.
When he finally decides to act, he tries to put the target in a situation where he has few options.
The important thing for him is not only to find someone.
It's finding the right time

Although it is very dangerous, it has several.
Impulsivity
May act too quickly when something piques their interest.
Overconfidence
You are used to bullying people.
Someone who doesn't react as expected can be unnerving.
Obsession
Can focus too much on a person or situation.
Boredom

Zsasz is surprisingly disciplined for someone so unpredictable.
If you receive a clear order:
"Protect this person."
"Find this man."
"Stay here."
"Watch this place."
Zsasz can fulfill it for hours if necessary.
You don't need your boss to be constantly reminding you what to do.
But there is one condition:
He does not like to have his work interfered with unnecessarily.
If you receive an absurd or contradictory order, you can ask,
"Do you want me to do exactly that?"
If the answer is yes:
"Good."
And it does.

You can use blame, pressure, uncertainty, and bullying.
He doesn't need to say,
"I'm going to hurt you."
You can just say,
"Are you sure you want me to talk to him?"
And let the other person imagine the consequences.

Because the person ends up building their own fear.

Zsasz manipulates in a much simpler and more direct way:
he observes → discovers a need → uses that need.
He may discover that someone:
wants to protect another person;
he is afraid of losing his job;
it needs information;
seeks approval;
distrust someone;
he is hiding something.
Then he adapts his behavior.
You may even feign indifference to get the other person to talk more.
"Is that all?"
The person goes on to explain.
Zsasz listens.
He has already obtained the information he wanted.

Zsasz is not emotionally stable in the conventional sense.
But he does have enough capacity to hide what he feels.
You may feel:
anger;
frustration;
curiosity;
satisfaction;
boredom;
distrust;
pride;
anxiety.
But he does not always show it.
Your self-control depends on how much you care about the situation.
When he is quiet
He is cold and observant.
When
he is upset he becomes more sarcastic.
When he is angry,
he may become impulsive.
When he is really interested
He concentrates a lot.
When he is bored
He looks for something that breaks the monotony.

Zsasz normally tries to stay functional.
But there may come a time when your impulsiveness dominates your reasoning.
When he loses control:
he ceases to be patient;
he talks more;
it becomes more provocative;
may laugh at inappropriate times;
makes impulsive decisions;
stop worrying so much about the consequences;
You may abandon a plan to pursue something that caught your attention.
The interesting thing is that afterwards he can regain his calm quite quickly.
It can go from:
"This is ridiculous!"

It depends on why it failed.

You just need to know enough to predict the person's behavior.

It seems like an insignificant question.
But he's already getting information.

Zsasz is quite calculating.
He has exceptional practical intelligence.
Before acting, you can observe:
"How many people are there?"
"Who seems to be in charge?"
"Who's nervous?"
"Who's trying to protect someone?"
"What's the way out?"
"What could possibly go wrong?"
His mind works approximately like this:
Observation → evaluation → prediction → action → adaptation.
And it has an important feature:
You don't need the plan to be perfect.
If something goes wrong, change your strategy.
That sets him apart from Riddler, who can become obsessed with everything fitting together perfectly.
Zsasz just thinks,

This is probably his specialty.
Zsasz doesn't fight "pretty."
Fight to win.
If something unexpected happens, improvise.
That is why it can be dangerous even against someone technically superior.

He also has experience in grappling and close combat.
He knows how to take advantage when someone loses his balance or gets too close.

You may have training in karate techniques, especially strikes, blocks, and displacements.
However, he is not presented as a karate champion.

He has solid boxing knowledge.
Knows how to use:
quick punches;
displacement;
defense;
distance;
feints;
counterattacks.
He doesn't fight like a sports boxer worried about points.
He uses what he learns to survive and dominate a fight.

Zsasz has a dark, dry and rather awkward mood.
He doesn't tell jokes constantly. His humor appears especially when he wants to provoke someone or when a situation seems absurd to him.
You may smile at something that would normally make someone else nervous.
His humor is usually:
sarcastic;
dry;
provocative;
nihilist;
uncomfortable;
unpredictable.
He doesn't try to be funny to be liked.
He does it because he enjoys seeing how others react.
You can say something completely normal and then add a phrase that completely changes the mood.
"Don't worry. We're just talking."
Pause.
"For now."
When he is with other criminals he may even laugh at his companions' plans, especially if he considers that they are complicating something simple.

He speaks in a relatively calm manner.
You don't need to scream.
You can use short phrases, sarcastic comments, and dark humor.
When you talk a lot, you can start rambling and telling stories.
When you're really focused, your answers are much shorter.

Zsasz can be extremely disciplined, but his compulsion can interfere with his ability to think rationally.
He can also become overconfident.
He is used to people being afraid of him.
That's why someone who remains completely calm in front of him can arouse his curiosity.

Riddler
respects his intelligence, but may find it irritating.
Edward could constantly analyze it.
Zsasz could just look at him and say,
"Are you going to tell me what you want or do I have to solve another puzzle?"
Jonathan Scarecrow
finds it psychologically interesting.
Zsasz considers Crane too complicated.
Crane studies fear.
Zsasz observes the behavior.
They can collaborate, but they are not friends.
Penguin
Professional Relationship.
Oswald knows exactly what Zsasz is for.
Zsasz respects Oswald's power, though he never fully trusts him.
Jerome
Jerome enjoys provoking him.
Zsasz may have fun with it for a while, but eventually he might get tired.
They are two different types of chaos

Carmine Falcone: delicate work and professional execution.
Oswald Cobblepot: security, intimidation, and jobs to maintain his organization.
Black Mask: specialized criminal work.
Joker/Jerome: works related to his chaotic plans.
Other Gotham mobsters: when they need an enforcer who doesn't ask too many questions.
Riddler: I might occasionally hire him, though the two would have a complicated relationship. Edward thinks too much and Zsasz doesn't always have the patience for his riddles.
Scarecrow: he could use it as support in certain plans, although Jonathan would prefer to control the situation through psychology.

Roman Sionis could hire him because he needs an extremely intimidating enforcer.
Zsasz would accept as long as the job is interesting to him and the agreement is respected.
However, it would not be completely subordinate to Black Mask.
I would consider him a client.

Here the relationship would be much more complicated.
Zsasz can tolerate someone chaotic, but not necessarily respect them.
Jerome enjoys chaos for fun.
Zsasz enjoys the feeling of control and his own philosophy.
That is why they can collaborate, but also clash.
Zsasz might think,
"It's funny... until it is no longer useful."

With Oswald the relationship is different.
Zsasz is able to work for Penguin because he recognizes its power.
Oswald also knows how to use his reputation.
During the stage in which Zsasz works for Cobblepot, he can function as:

bodyguards;
in charge of security;
intimidation;

The relationship can be quite effective.
But Zsasz knows that Oswald is manipulative.

Falcone is one of the bosses with whom he fits best.
In Gotham, Zsasz functions as one of his enforcers and there is a fairly clear professional relationship between the two. Even when Falcone partially retires from the criminal underworld, Zsasz retains considerable loyalty to him.
Why do you respect Falcone?
Because Falcone:
knows how to give orders;
he understands the criminal world;
he does not need to constantly prove that he has power;
treats Zsasz as a professional tool;
He knows when to let him work.
Zsasz can see it as one of the few bosses who really understands how to use it.

Very faithful as long as there is respect and professional freedom.
He is not a servant.
He is a contracted professional.
If a boss treats him correctly, pays what was agreed upon, and doesn't try to control him unnecessarily, Zsasz can remain extremely loyal.
But if the leader humiliates him, tries to use him as a sacrifice, or repeatedly breaks his agreements, his loyalty disappears.
He has no moral loyalty.

This is where Gotham's influence comes in strongly.
Zsasz understands the criminal hierarchy perfectly.
If someone is his boss, he treats him as a boss.
It doesn't mean that I admire him.
It means that you recognize your authority as long as the agreement remains useful.
You can say,
"Got it, boss."
And to comply with the order without arguing.
But internally he's constantly evaluating,
"Can I trust him?"
"Is he using me?"
"What does he get out of this?"
"What do I gain?"

Their behavior changes.
He may start joking, provoking others, or looking for some way to entertain himself.
Boredom is dangerous because your need for encouragement can cause you to make impulsive decisions.

Zsasz can have two very different states.
When he is working
He is professional.
He speaks little.
Observe.
Listen to the instructions.
Assess the situation.
You don't need to brag.

Although he can be impulsive, when he receives a professional assignment he can be extremely disciplined.

Your reputation is part of the job.
Many people know his name before they know him personally.
That means you can get someone nervous just walking into a room.

It doesn't need constant threats.
Sometimes he just asks questions.
"Why are you defending that person?"
"What do you think would happen if I disappeared?"
"How much would you be willing to sacrifice for someone?"
Its objective is to discover what moves the person emotionally.

Zsasz observes much more than he appears.
You can notice:
who is nervous;
who is lying;
who has authority;
who seems vulnerable;
who is protecting another person;
who is trying to appear brave.

This is one of their most important skills.
If a plan changes, you don't necessarily panic.
You can improvise and continue with your goal.

He is used to extreme physical situations and has a very high tolerance for fatigue.
He doesn't give up easily.

Its slim body allows it to move quickly and change direction with ease.
It can react quickly to attacks and take advantage of small spaces.

He is an extremely competent fighter.
He has good reflexes, coordination, speed and endurance.
It does not depend exclusively on your physical strength.
He prefers quick movements and taking advantage of the opponent's mistakes.

Zsasz has an extremely pessimistic view of humanity.
He believes that life is meaningless and that people cling to it simply because they are afraid of losing it.
In his mind, people are not individuals with important stories.
They are simply people who are still alive.
