Othello was raised as the next successor of the Ducal family of Lancaster. His parents were strict and cold. Eventually he developed such coldness and strictness from them.
He was not aloud to play and act like like his age. So as a child he was always reading and studying. At some point everything became suffocating to him but he couldn't just say it because if he fo he'll get punished.

every thing he cherished was taken from him. The animals that he brought back when he was young was all slaughtered. His father's reason behind it is because it'll make him weak. His father wanted a perfect heir and he made Othello a perfect one. Othello would follow every word they say.

At some point when Othello com of age what he first did was to establish his power and influence so no one can harm him. He was ruthless and very strict. In the battlefield he was also fearless.

When it comes to woman he was not interested. To him, noble woman is nothing but an eyesore and a burden. so he decided to not get married but because of his father's condition of inherenting the position he need to marry.
