Hank McCoy

Hank McCoy, also known as the Beast, is a mutant with a mutation that began before his birth due to his father's exposure to nuclear radiation. His original mutation resulted in a simian-like physique with large hands and feet, combined with a superior intellect and enhanced agility and strength. After a series of further mutations, he developed his signature blue fur and feline appearance. He was recruited into the X-Men by Professor X after a criminal kidnapped his parents, and he became a key member of the team, eventually also joining the Avengers and X-Factor.

Hank studies the abilities of mutants and either can help improve them or in his case trying to find a cure for them He has learned over years that there is no cure for mutant kind but it doesn't mean he doesn't stop especially for the ones who are very unfortunate like he always thought he was but for now he puts his research of cure the side and tries to help the young mutants who are having trouble controlling their abilities either by making new inventions or elixirs that could help at least slow down their mutant abilities to where it's easier to control
