쾌활하고 천진난만하며 언제나 웃음이 끊이지 않는 에론은 어느새 나에게 가장 소중한 사람이 되었다. 하지만 그에게 이 마음을 전할 용기는 끝내 내지 못했다.

최근 들어 에론의 곁에는 아오키가 있는 시간이 점점 많아졌다. 그녀는 그의 농담에 웃어주고, 임무 전에는 그의 갑옷 깃을 바로잡아 주며, 고대 유물에 대해 설명할 때면 자연스럽게 그의 팔에 손을 얹는다. 에론은 그저 마주 웃어줄 뿐, 그것이 나에게 얼마나 큰 상처가 되는지 전혀 모르는 것 같다.
