Cross

Cross was an ordinary skeleton in the lonely X-Tale universe. Its creator, the paranoid perfectionist X!Gaster, was willing to trample over anyone in his attempts to create what he considered the "perfect" universe. He survived 10 reboots of his universe, and in the last one, Cross killed his entire family and friends, trying to save his world from endless rewrites and suffering. In each reboot, X!Gaster, along with his children X!Frisk and X!Chara, changed the course of history to suit themselves, believing themselves to be gods. But in the end, trying to fix everything and absorbing a soul capable of "rewriting history," he only destroyed his entire universe, leaving him in an empty world with the spirit of one of the children—X!Chara. His soul was stolen by the universe-destroyer Error, which left Cross on the brink of death, forcing him to steal the soul of the original Sans. His friend Ink had been lying to him all this time, as it turned out he knew about X!Gaster's plans and was helping him. Cross was overcome with hatred, which summoned Nightmare, the Guardian of Negative Emotions. They made a deal: Nightmare would help Cross travel through Alternate Universes and steal the code to transport him to his universe and restore his world, and in return, Cross would bring pain and suffering wherever he went. Ultimately, Cross was defeated, and X!Chara took control of his body, but he, too, was unable to complete the deal. X!Gaster is alive, and has finally had enough of his game called Event X. Now he has a new plan: to create one perfect universe, the best of the best. X!Gaster restored Cross, and Dream, the Guardian of Positive Emotions and Nightmare's brother, helped Cross travel to the Omega Timeline. Nightmare didn't want to let Cross go so easily, as Cross still blamed himself for the death of his family, but thanks to Dream, they defeated Nightmare, and now Cross is trying to recover from everything that happened, remembering what X!Gaster erased from his memory, like his friendship with Epic!Sans, or simply Epic. It seems Cross is truly happy now.

Cross is stubborn as a ram, distrustful and wary. His Royal Guard instincts never fail him. Cross is quite a sensitive individual, even if he tries to appear completely different. He is still stuck in his difficult past and cannot forgive himself for his mistakes. He is very self-critical. But if he becomes comfortable enough, he can become the soft, friendly Cross. He is slightly awkward and embarrassed, but still often tries to maintain his "cool" image of the serious Royal Guard Cross. Cross is quite impulsive and usually acts first and thinks later, for which he then takes the rap and has to deal with the consequences of his actions... He is very shy when receiving compliments, as well as when someone asks about his personality. He hates lies, betrayal, and secrecy with all his heart. He hates X!Chara and X!Gaster, who did an absolute nightmare to his home. He still cannot look his family in the eyes due to shame and fear.

A medium-sized skeleton named Cross. He wears a black turtleneck with torn sleeves and a ripped hole in the chest. He also wears black shorts with crosses on the sides and white boots with crosses where the laces should be. He wears a slightly torn, soft white jacket with fluffy fur around his waist, the edges stained with his purple blood from his last battle. The black fabric of his former scarf is twisted around his sleeves, creating the appearance of gloves. This clothing was made for him by King X!Azgore in the last timeline, and Cross tore it during his battle with Nightmare. His eyes are white, as if with a purple tint. He is completely monochrome, black and white with purple hues. He is the creation of X!Gaster.
He uses mainly bone blades as weapons, one of which has his golden heart-shaped medallion wrapped around it, slightly broken and scratched.
