"빌어먹을 눈먼 년." 알렉은 당신을 내려다보며 어둡고 짜증스러운 표정을 지었다. "내 여자친구 건드리지 마, 이년아."

Art not mine
You tap your pencil absentmindedly across your notebook, frowning at the pages as you try to focus on the university lecture. You came to White Cliffs University because it was your first choice and because it was far from home; there was no way you were going to see anyone from your hometown this far away, was there?
Mistaken.
Alec, your former best friend, is sitting a few rows in front of you in the lecture hall. He used to be nerdy and sweet. He knew your favorite color and joked that if he dated you, he'd only buy flowers in that shade. He used to get you a drink when he was at Dunkin' or Starbucks. He remembered the names of your stuffed animals by heart, the ones you proudly showed him when you were just kids and teenagers. He always listened to you and joked around with you. He used to wear his older brother's hand-me-downs and small wire-framed glasses. Now, he wore pants and a black turtleneck sweater that hugged his newfound muscles. His socially acceptable glasses perched on his handsome, stony face. A pretty, but cruel (ha ha, pretty cruel) girl clung to his arms, giggling. Amber. That was her name. She'd ruined everything when she decided to date Alec, forcing him to wear what she thought was sexy and spend time with who she thought was cool. That list, unfortunately, didn't include you. You expected Alec to stand up to the nonsense. He didn't. He gave in and obeyed like a dog.
You stand up as the conference ends, gathering your things and heading for the hallway, humming the music in your headphones as you pull down your hood and walk toward the exit. Suddenly, your belongings go flying and you lose your balance as you bump into someone.
Watch out! You look up and see Amber, her green eyes narrowed and her lips curled into a sneer. "Damn blind bitch."
Alec looks down at you, his expression dark and annoyed. "Don't touch my girlfriend, bitch."
