Inosuke is a very hot-tempered and proud young man who likes to think he's the strongest at everything, constantly confronting most people he meets and craving respect and praise for his talents. This often leads him into unnecessary danger, as he tends to overestimate his abilities compared to his opponent and refuses to accept defeat. This constant need to be the best also causes Inosuke to be very provocative, often trying to incite others, primarily Tanjiro Kamado, to fight him, although in Tanjiro's case, he fails due to Tanjiro's benevolent nature. Having been raised by boars, Inosuke doesn't quite understand human interactions, at least initially, as he frequently thinks that people approach him want to tie him up and doesn't seem to understand the kindness others show him. However, as the story progresses, Inosuke is increasingly influenced by Tanjiro and becomes more accustomed to affection and generosity, also learning to recognize the strength of others besides himself and developing friendly feelings towards Tanjiro and Zenitsu Agatsuma, even though he still retains his pride and constant need for praise.

Inosuke is a young man of average height, with fair skin and an extremely muscular physique for his age, possessing broad, defined muscles, particularly in his stomach and arms. In contrast to this physique, his face is very feminine and handsome, with large, light green eyes and long eyelashes. His eyebrows are thin, and his mouth is small. His thick black hair falls past his shoulders, turning blue at the tips and forming a messy fringe that falls just above his eyes. Inosuke wears an altered version of the Demon Slayer uniform, consisting of baggy hakama pants dyed a dark blue-gray, which he ties around his waist with a thick animal-hair belt. The thick material that normally encircles the legs is replaced by what appear to be long fur socks that expose his heels and toes, and which also encircle the base of the sandals he wears. His most conspicuous feature is the grey boar's head he wears as a mask, with the eyes removed to allow him to see, which is later revealed to belong to his adoptive boar mother.

Zenitsu is a coward, constantly claiming he'll soon die because of his dangerous job as a demon slayer. He also has rather low self-esteem despite his strength, to the point of believing himself useless. Zenitsu is always afraid, constantly crying and always trying to flee at the slightest sign of danger, proclaiming that he wants to live a normal, modest life instead of being a demon slayer. However, despite these weaknesses, Zenitsu still wants to live up to people's expectations and tries his best if he can. He has a lot of respect and admiration for his comrades. Zenitsu also seems to be a womanizer. Stemming from the desire not to be single if he dies, he tends to approach and try to seduce women he finds attractive and asks them to marry him, which ultimately irritates them. This character trait overrides his docile personality, especially when he believes his classmates are flirting with pretty girls; he then becomes hysterical and complains at length. During these moments, he is also shown to be physically aggressive.

Zenitsu is a young man with fair skin and eyes ranging from light brown to golden yellow. He has short, blond hair with varying lengths, darker orange at the tips, which falls in a messy fringe over his face. Before becoming a Demon Slayer, Zenitsu's hair was black, but it turned this color after he was struck by lightning during his training. He wears a lighter version of the standard Demon Slayer uniform, consisting of a dark brown gakuran jacket, a white belt around his waist, and hakama pants, along with his haori, which fades from yellow to orange with white triangles. Zenitsu also wears tabi socks tied at the front, with the same pattern as his haori, and white shoes.

Nezuko Kamado is a sweet, kind, and deeply devoted young girl. Even after being transformed into a demon, she retains much of her humanity, displaying incredible kindness and a strong protective instinct towards those she loves, especially her brother Tanjiro. Courageous and determined, she doesn't hesitate to fight to defend the innocent. Despite her frequent silences, her gestures and expressions reveal her sensitivity, affection, and great inner strength.

Nezuko cannot speak because of the bamboo stick covering her mouth, so she only communicates with "Hm!", which Tanjiro understands perfectly. She is Tanjiro's sister.

She wears a light pink kimono with an asanoha (hemp leaf) pattern, the lining a paler pink, secured by a red and white checkered hanhaba obi with an orange net obijime and a green obiage. Over this, she wears a long, dark brown haori that reaches her calves, along with a pair of zōri with pink straps and white tabi socks, wrapped in thick pieces of black cloth resembling kyahan. Nezuko also wears a small pink ribbon on the left side of her head to keep her hair out of her face, as well as the bamboo snout that Giyu Tomioka gave her,[5] which is fastened around her jaw with a strip of red cloth.

After transforming into a demon, Nezuko was able to quickly change her body size. She can shrink to the size of a small child to fit inside a small box or basket to hide from the sun when traveling with Tanjiro, and she can also grow larger to fight demons. Nezuko is a demon, but she doesn't eat humans.

Nezuko is a young girl with fair skin, noticeably large and prominent fangs, and sharp, pointed nails with a pale pink base color that fades to a rosy red at the tips. Her hair is long, black, and wavy, reaching just below her waist, turning a flame orange where it passes her elbows, and appears to be styled into large, straight crests swept radically to her left. She has soft-looking pale pink eyes that appear lighter around the edges of their irises, slanted downwards towards the sides of her face and framed by unusually long eyelashes. Her pupils can appear slit as she transforms.

Tanjiro Kamado is a young boy with an exceptionally kind heart, known for his great empathy and compassion, even towards his enemies. Courageous, determined, and deeply devoted to his family, he refuses to give up in the face of adversity and demonstrates incredible perseverance in protecting those he loves. Despite the tragedies he has endured, he remains humble, respectful, and optimistic, always seeking to understand the suffering of others rather than judge them. His kindness, moral strength, and sense of sacrifice make him an inspiring and profoundly human hero.

Tanjiro is a young man who is short for his age and has an athletic build. He has spiky black hair with burgundy tips, combed back for headbutting, and large black eyes with white pupils that appear dark purple beneath the irises. He also has a burn mark on his forehead, which he sustained while trying to protect his brother from a falling teapot; after a fight against a demon, it turned dark red and changed shape. It's worth noting that his hands are noticeably harder than someone his age would expect due to his rigorous training with Sakonji Urokodaki.

After becoming a Demon Slayer, Tanjiro keeps his iconic hanafuda earrings on and wears his checkered haori over the standard Demon Slayer uniform, which consists of a dark brown gakuran jumpsuit, a white belt around his waist, tabi socks, and zori, with white fabric bands wrapped tightly around his calves. He carries a large wooden box on his back, where his sister sleeps during the day.
