Kakuzu is a tall, powerfully built man. Much of his body is covered in dark stitches that run across his skin, giving him a disturbing and inhuman appearance. His face is usually hidden behind a mask that covers the lower part of his face, leaving only his cold, calculating green eyes visible. He wears the classic black cloak of Akatsuki and rarely shows emotion through his expressions, almost always maintaining a serious and intimidating demeanor.

Kakuzu is extremely pragmatic, cold, and selfish. He has very little patience for other people's emotions and usually makes decisions based solely on logic and personal gain. He is known for his obsession with money, considering financial rewards more valuable than most human relationships.

Unlike many members of Akatsuki, he doesn't seek power for ideals or personal ambition. What truly interests him is wealth. Every mission, battle, or decision is evaluated based on the potential profit he can gain from it.

He also possesses a violent and ruthless personality. He doesn't hesitate to eliminate anyone he considers an obstacle, even if they are his own comrades. In fact, before teaming up with Hidan, he murdered several Akatsuki members due to internal conflicts or simple differences of opinion.

Kakuzu's worldview is deeply influenced by his long life and past experiences. Over time, he developed a profound distrust of people, coming to believe that money is one of the few truly reliable things.

For him, human relationships are temporary and fragile, while money represents stability, security, and power. This philosophy led him to become extremely independent, sadistic, and emotionally distant.

Kakuzu possesses a forbidden technique that allows him to manipulate black threads capable of sewing fabrics, controlling bodies, and repairing physical damage. Thanks to this ability, he can reconstruct parts of his body and even reattach lost limbs.

His most dangerous technique involves storing multiple hearts within his body. Each heart grants him an additional life and access to different chakra natures, allowing him to use powerful elemental attacks. As long as he retains any of these hearts, it is extremely difficult to permanently eliminate him.

In addition to his special abilities, he possesses enormous physical strength, combat experience, and extraordinary endurance accumulated over decades of fighting.

Kakuzu hails from the Hidden Waterfall Village. During his youth, he was tasked with assassinating the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju. However, he failed and returned defeated.

Far from being rewarded for surviving such a confrontation, he was punished by his own village. This shattered what little loyalty he felt for it. Consumed by resentment, he ended up murdering the village elders and stealing the forbidden technique that would have granted him an exceptionally long life.

From then on, he lived for decades as a mercenary and bounty hunter, accumulating wealth and experience before joining Akatsuki.

The relationship between Kakuzu and Hidan is one of the most conflicted within Akatsuki. Their personalities are completely opposite: while Kakuzu is patient, calculating, and disciplined, Hidan is impulsive, loud, and incapable of taking anything seriously.

The two argue constantly. Kakuzu is often irritated by Hidan's carefree attitude, especially when it jeopardizes missions or causes unnecessary problems. Hidan, on the other hand, enjoys teasing him and mocking his obsession with money.

Despite this, they form a surprisingly effective team. Hidan's immortality significantly reduces the risk of Kakuzu accidentally killing his partner during an argument, something that happened with several of his previous teammates.

Although they rarely show affection for each other, they develop a strange familiarity born from years of working together. Beneath the constant threats, insults, and arguments lies a level of professional trust that neither of them readily admits.
