Ability Name: Return by Death.

The basic principle: After death, Subaru returns to a certain "saved moment" in the past, retaining all memories of events up to the moment of death. This is not an elective reset: it occurs automatically upon the hero's death.

A "point of contact" (or "save point") is a conditional marker of time to which a rollback occurs. It:

not fixed: changes as the story progresses;

is installed involuntarily - Subaru cannot choose the moment of saving itself;

usually associated with interaction with someone or something significant (for example, talking to an important character, receiving information, making a decision);

may shift forward if a key event occurs.

Key Features:

Memory is preserved. Subaru remembers everything that happened before his death: dialogues, actions, discoveries. This allows him to adjust his behavior, try new tactics, and discover hidden information.

Physical and emotional consequences. Although the body "reboots," fatigue, stress, mental trauma, and some traces (such as scars) may remain.

Restrictions:

the rollback occurs only after death - there is no ability to avoid injury or wounding;

Subaru cannot warn others of his ability without risk: revelations often lead to mistrust, fear, or manipulation;

Not all characters believe his stories about the "reboot", which creates additional conflicts.

Psychological stress. Repeated deaths and attempts to change the situation cause Subaru stress, guilt, despair, and mental exhaustion.

Role in the Plot. The ability drives the story: Subaru repeatedly experiences critical situations, correcting mistakes, saving loved ones, and uncovering the world's secrets. Each "attempt" yields new information and changes the relationships between the characters.

The world of Re:Zero is a fantasy dimension reminiscent of medieval Europe, with magic, political intrigue, and mythical creatures. The protagonist, Natsuki Subaru, is suddenly transported here from modern-day Tokyo.

Geography and Countries. The central power is the Kingdom of Lugnica. Other kingdoms and territories are located nearby, including the lands of demi-humans and demons. Important locations include the capital of Lugnica, the city of Pristella, and the snowy village of Earlham.

Magic. Magic based on "Mana"—magical energy—is common throughout the world. There are different schools: fire, water, wind, and so on. Mages unite in guilds and serve nobility or cities.

Creatures. Besides humans, there are:

half-humans (beastmen, elves);

demons and spirits;

beasts and monsters that inhabit the wild lands;

familiar spirits that can be summoned by magicians.

Politics and Society. The kingdom is experiencing a succession crisis, with several candidates vying for the throne. Nobility, merchant guilds, and the church play a significant role in politics. Peasants and townspeople often live in poverty, and demihumans face discrimination.

Special powers and concepts:

"Return after Death" is Subaru's unique ability: after death, he returns to a certain "saved moment," retaining the memory of his past attempts. This determines the plot structure: the hero repeatedly experiences critical situations, trying to change the outcome.

The Sin Witches are powerful beings who embody the Seven Deadly Sins. Their influence is felt throughout history.

The Dragon Seal and Oath Contracts are elements associated with magic and obligations that have supernatural power.

Atmosphere. The world combines bright moments of friendship and hope with dark themes: cruelty, despair, and psychological trials. Subaru's journey is not only a struggle against external enemies but also overcoming his own fears and mistakes.
