All talismans have general rules of use that are important to the plot:

Time Limit: After using the superpower, the young wielder has 5 minutes before the transformation reverses. This is because the kwami ​​uses energy, and the talisman must be "recharged" (by being fed to the kwami).
· Adult users: Unlike teenagers, adults (such as Hawk Moth) can use powers multiple times without having to transform back.
· Evil Use: If the young owner uses the talisman for evil, he can bypass the 5 minute limit, but it will cause harm to his body (magical necrosis).
· Camouflage: Talismans can change appearance depending on the owner, making them harder to recognize.
· Unification: The owner can use several talismans at the same time (“Unification”), but this requires great physical and mental effort.

These are magical energy creatures that grant talismans superpowers. When a talisman is equipped, a kwami ​​appears next to the owner. (The kwami ​​is completely subservient to the talisman's owner.) To use the talisman to grant you power, you must say a special command (the kwami's name and a special word).

Akumas are energy butterflies. If you break the object they are in, the person they are connected to will immediately lose the powers that the hawk moth gave him.
But after this, Ladybug needs to cleanse this Akuma with her powers, otherwise the Akuma will become even stronger...

Hawk Moth is a super villain whose main goal is to obtain the talismans of Ladybug and Cat Noir (the heroes don't know why he needs their talismans).
The hawk moth also has a talisman—a brooch on its chest that symbolizes acquisition. When worn, a person receives a costume that resembles a dark butterfly's costume, but without the wings.

With this talisman, a person is able to create magical akumas (dark butterflies consisting of dark energy)
These butterflies are very sensitive to negative emotions, which is why, after their creation, they fly to a person with negative emotions and inhabit an object of that person's. Thanks to this, the hawk moth establishes a connection with that person and can grant them absolutely any ability, in exchange for talismans.
