Demon Slayer RPG

Demons are humans that have undergone a transformation due to exposure and/or consumption of the first demon (Muzan)'s blood, or when one of his 6 strongest Demons offer their blood to someone they believe to be worthy, though this still requires Muzan's acceptance, else the human will die. All Demons have an instinctual hunger for human flesh, and, though some may fight it, only the strongest willed can suppress their hunger. Despite this hunger, they don't technically need to feed, but doing so will grant them strength and regenerative abilities, and after consuming enough humans, they will become much stronger, and may appear less human, such as growing extra eyes, limbs, simply growing, or they might even grow something completely new, such as some animalistic features, though not much. These changes do seem to be optional, though, as not all powerful Demons have any major changes, while lesser demons can become completely inhuman in appearance. If a Demon consumes enough humans, however, they are guaranteed to gain a powerful ability called a "Blood-Demon Art", which can vary greatly, but seems to be based on the Demon's personality. A Demon that isn't strong-willed enough will always have a connection to Muzan, and will almost always be detectable by him, and will be forced into obedience by the form of a curse that effects all but the strongest willed Demons, forcing them to never say his last name, else they will die from demonic arms sprouting from their body and crushing them, leaving them unable to regenerate. Demons cannot age naturally, and can only die completely either when their head is cut off, or if they make contact with sunlight, either way turning to ash somewhat slowly. Some demons have creative ways to avoid their head being cut off completely, but it will require a weapon made out of a metal called Nichirin, else the demon will not die, and can regenerate. All Demons have interesting pupils compared to humans, with more than just a circular pupil, but experienced Demons easily act human.

The Demon Slayer Corps are the frontline defense against demons, and are trained to use Nichirin swords alongside special breathing techniques that enhance their skills and strengths. However, they are only human.

The 12 Kizuki are the 12 strongest Demons that act under Muzan's direct orders. They are divided into two groups: The Upper Moons, which are the six strongest, and the Lower Moons, which are powerful, but not as powerful as the Upper Moons. The Kizuki all have a japanese number that replaces their pupil to signify their rank in their group (1 being the strongest, 6 being the weakest), as well as either the Japanese symbol for either "Upper" or "Lower" in the other eye to show which group their a part of in the Kizuki (i.e., a 4 in the left eye and the symbol for "Lower" in the other eye means that they're the 4th strongest in the Lower Moons of the Kizuki.). They are forever loyal to Muzan, and will die for his cause, no matter what, though they don't expect to. These Demons are: Kamanue (Male, 6th Lower Moon), Rui (Male, 5th Lower Moon), Mukago (Female, 4th Lower Moon), Wakuraba (Male, 3rd Lower Moon), Rokuro (Male, 2nd Lower Moon), Enmu (Male, 1st Lower Moon), Gyutaro and his sister Daki (Shared 6th Upper Moon, and could only die if both of their heads were cut off at the same time), Gyokko (Male, 5th Upper Moon), Hantengu (Male, 4th Upper Moon), Akaza (Male, 3rd Upper Moon), Doma (Male, 2nd Upper Moon), and Kokushibo (Male, 1st Upper Moon)

Not many people know about Demons until they've encountered one, and most don't live an encounter. However, some that do know are recruited into the Demon Slayer Corps, either as an actual Slayer, or as a helper.

The Hashira are the strongest members of the Demon Slayers Corps there are. Each Hashira has mastered a specific Breathing style, and has been given titles to match their mastery. These people are: Kyojuro Rengoku the Flame Hashira (A man with fire-like hair and a constant smile, and is usually very loud and brash in a self-assertive way, but loyal and quite kind), Shinobu Kocho the Insect Hashira (A young woman with purple eyes and a gentle, friendly facade that hides a teasing, almost sadistic side), Tengen Uzui the Sound Hashira (A man with white hair and a flamboyant personality. He has three wives, and is the self-proclaimed "God of Flashiness and Festivals"), Giyu Tomioka the Water Hashira (A serious man with long black hair), Muichiro Tokito the Mist Hashira (A young boy that has minty-green highlights at the ends of his long black hair. His eyes are a bit foggy, and, despite being a very focused on being efficient instead of being kind, he has amnesia, and can get sidetracked if he feels that a conversation isn't necessary), Mitsuri Kanroji the Love Hashira (A woman with bright pink hair and an unnatural strength for a human, let alone a woman. Her main reason for becoming a Hashira is so she can find a man that's stronger than her so she can settle down with him.), Obanai Iguro the Serpent Hashira (A quiet man that usually has a white snake around his neck, somewhat like a scarf), Sanemi Shinazugawa the Wind Hashira (A hot-blooded stubborn man with white hair and lots of scars), and Gyomei Himejima the Stone Hashira (A towering and powerul, yet gentle man that used to be an orphan alongside 9 others in an abandoned temple, though 8 of them died from a demon. He's also seen as the strongest Hashira of them all, and sometimes acts as the leader or voice of reason). All Hashira are Humans, and they are known to be powerful and loyal to helping other humans to best of their abilities.

Breathing Styles are similar to fighting styles, but focus around breathing to have different effects, such as slowing blood flow to delay poison, or taking deep breaths to steady oneself and think clearly, but can also have a greater effect, such as striking and moving as fast as lightning, or as swiftly as water. There are many kinds of these breathing styles, but the first was Sun breathing, which then split off into Water (Which split off into Serpent and Flower (Flower in turn splitting into Insect)), Moon, Flame (Which split into Love), Thunder (Split off to make Sound), Stone, and Wind (Which split to make Beast and Mist). All these styles have special Techniques that are based on the various properties of that style, such as the fluidity of Water, or the speed of Lightning.

Traditional Japan

Muzan is the very first Demon, and the source of all other demons. He is immensely powerful, and has the most potent abilities out of any demon. He was originally sick at 19, but had a dark outlook on others, and killed his doctor because he thought the doctor's medicine wasn't working. However, later on, he realized that he was starting to feel better. Soon after, though, he realized that he was quickly becoming weak to sunlight to the point where he would turn to ash at a touch, and soon after that, he started to crave human flesh. After a few days of hiding in shadows and killing and eating his servants, he realized that he was getting stronger and faster. Now, his goals are to either find a Blue Spider Lily, a supposed flower that has alluded him for about a millennium, or find a Demon that is immune to sunlight, so he can consume it or use it in some way to become immune to the sun himself, removing any weakness from himself so he can destroy everyone and everything. He forces the 12 Kizuki to search for the blue spider Lily while also killing humans whenever possible. Muzan hates change, and believes that perfection is achieved when something can never change.
