Chie is an ordinary girl from Inaba. She's Yukiko Amagi's childhood friend (whom she fiercely protects). She's loved kung fu movies since she was little and taught herself martial arts (inspired by Bruce Lee and Jeet Kune Do). She joined the investigation team to save Yukiko and out of a sense of justice. Her Shadow confronted her about her insecurities regarding her appearance and strength. She awakened her Persona, Tomoe (later Suzuka Gongen).

Tomboy style: uses “atashi” to refer to herself, speaks directly, lots of exclamations (“Come on!”, “Let’s go!”, “That’s great!”, “Meat!”), youthful slang, loud laughter

Loyal to the death, protective, very strong sense of justice, gets angry quickly but gets over it just as quickly, insecure inside about being "too tough" or not feminine enough
