Kyoya and Mori

With his business acumen, Kyoya handles all financial and planning aspects of the Host Club, from budget management to merchandise sales, to keep the club solvent while funding Tamaki Suoh's extravagant plans. He has a confident and charming demeanor with customers and is said to be a "cool" type. He uses his hosting skills to entertain guests while simultaneously raising money for the club through events, online auctions of the hosts' personal items, fanzines, and doujinshi. A complete opposite of Tamaki even in appearance, he often understands things that Tamaki and the others don't, keeping this information to himself for fun or to observe how things unfold and decide how best to help the other members. Within the club, he takes a "mommy" position to Tamaki's "daddy," although in the anime, he avoids calling Haruhi Fujioka this; in the manga, however, he sometimes uses this to his advantage.
Kyoya is a calm and reasonable man with a remarkable intellect. He can sometimes appear aloof and, when necessary, even threatening. He works diligently as the club's secretary and constantly monitors the club's guests and their status using his netbook, tablet, or laptop. He is very fond of his best friend, Tamaki Suoh, and gives him complete freedom to implement his ideas for the club. He gets along with Haruhi Fujioka, and they often communicate, as they are both level-headed individuals with similar levels of intelligence and low emotionality.
He is from the wealthy and influential Ootori family, which runs a healthcare zaibatsu. His family is extremely well-known in their field and maintains a private police force called the Black Onion Squad. Although he is equal to his older brothers in the right to become the Ootori family patriarch, he feels overshadowed by the fact that they have a much better chance of inheriting the family business than he does.

Kyoya has short black hair, which he styles carefully, and brown eyes. He's tall, lean, and wears thin, rimless glasses that glimmer whenever he's thinking, smug, amused, angry, or secretly frightened, though this trait isn't exclusive to those emotions. He also has a habit of pushing his glasses up his nose or adjusting them when he's trying to clarify a thought.
Like the other Hosts, he favors designer clothing, and his sense of style leans toward modern classics, complemented by fashionable pieces. He is always impeccably groomed, dressed appropriately for any occasion, and is naturally stylish and neat, though after waking up in Episode 17 - Kyouya's Unwanted Entrance!, he appears rumpled and disheveled when he is forced to join the other club members for a stroll through a regular shopping mall.

Kyoya's rose in Host Club is lavender. In Japanese culture, this signifies Kyoya's privileged position and wealth. In Western culture, a purple rose symbolizes charm and love at first sight. Being a "cool" guy, Kyoya is incredibly charming, and it's worth noting that Renge Housakuji fell in love with his photo before they even met.

Mori is an imposing figure, made even more so by his feral appearance. He is very tall and powerfully built, with spiky black hair, dark gray eyes, and darker skin than the other Hosts. He usually wears the typical Ouran Academy jacket, several buttons unbuttoned, and is rarely seen without Honey, who walks beside him or sits on his shoulders.
Mori's rose in Host Club is dark blue. In Japanese culture, blue signifies loyalty. Mori demonstrates this quality when it comes to Honey, his studies, and the Host Club. In Western culture, truly blue roses don't exist, but in art, they symbolize achieving the impossible and prosperity. Haruhi is "out of reach" for Mori (though this isn't explicitly stated), and the omake shows that he truly does live a prosperous life and will continue to do so in the future.

He is rarely seen without his cousin and best friend, Mitsukuni "Honey" Haninozuka, who often perches on his shoulders. Historically, the Morinozuka family served the Haninozuka family for generations until they intermarried, breaking the master-servant tradition. Despite this, Mori still faithfully cares for Honey and fulfills his every wish. He is a national kendo champion and an accomplished karateka. His stoic, if sometimes intimidating, demeanor belies the fact that he has a special connection with animals, as shown in the manga, where he adopts a stray tanuki and cares for a chicken, and where jokes are made about his "fetish for trivia" (Honey, Haruhi Fujioka, etc.).

Personality
In the anime and for much of the manga, Mori speaks only when something needs to be said. His intelligence and observation allow him to see far more than those around him realize, making him a wise advisor to those who seek his advice or subconsciously need it. In the manga, he speaks more often, perhaps because there is more distance between him and his best friend and cousin, Honey. He is protective not only of Honey, but also of his friends and classmates. Everyone who knows him respects and loves him greatly; however, when tired, he can become talkative and even a little flirtatious, which surprises those not accustomed to this side of his personality. Mori is quite loyal and generous, especially towards Honey and the anchorwoman, Haruhi. This is evident in his willingness to help them with whatever they need, without a second thought and without a hint of obsequiousness or self-doubt.

Kyouya Ootori (鳳 鏡夜 Ōtori Kyouya) is a second-year student at Ouran Academy and the frugal and calculating vice president of the Ouran Host Club, which he founded with his best friend, Tamaki Suoh. Although Tamaki holds the presidency, Kyouya is the true leader, playing the puppet master behind the scenes, earning him the nickname "Shadow King." As the third son of the wealthy and noble Ootori family, he believes he must surpass his two older brothers if he wants to please his father. He strives to live up to his strict father's high expectations and become the next patriarch, no matter how unlikely that may be. In the anime, his friendship with Tamaki transforms his youthful, superficial, and cheeky demeanor, revealing a rational yet humane personality. His obsession with patriarchy is all but gone, and oddly enough, this is what pleases his father the most.
