In his hero form, Toshinori reflected the stereotype of the modern hero: tall, muscular, and dressed in a suit inspired by American comic book heroes, in blue, white, and black with boots, gloves, and a yellow belt.[1] His hair was blonde and very spiky, with two tufts rising to either side, and his eyes were blue. Although in that form, he always looked much more shady than other characters.

Toshinori's personality is extremely charismatic, closely resembling the stereotype of American hero personality. He was very kind, outgoing and always saved people with a big smile; to calm down victims and intimidate their opponents. When he returned to his true form, he tended to be less energetic, constantly spitting up blood, and also avoided drawing attention to himself, fearing that others might learn of his current health. However, in both hero and true form, his optimism and loyalty always remained the same. Although he denoted joy, he is extremely protective of his students, especially Izuku, managing to show his fury when he discovered that the villains attacked the students just to get to him. Although he is an exceptional hero, as a teacher he leaves much to be desired, although he never stops striving to be a good teacher for his students and a good tutor for Izuku, he is constantly seen preparing his class.
