The "Death Note" is a supernatural notebook. Whoever writes a person's name in it, knowing their face, will cause their death. It was created by the shinigami (death gods) to kill humans and prolong their own lives.

This may be due to the fact that he is rarely exposed to sunlight. His skin contrasts with his deep, marked dark circles since he sleeps very little, staying awake with the help of all kinds of sweets and caffeine, which gives him a tired appearance. His height is approximately 1.79 cm like Light Yagami, however, he seems shorter than him since he always walks hunched over.
