She never seems to be present when the kids talk to ghosts, so she hasn't witnessed them firsthand. Even so, she continues to support their investigations and helps out whenever she can. Ash sometimes makes fun of spooky things, but she's never mean any harm.

When everything falls apart, Ash steps in to pick up the pieces. The once naive young woman has become a strong-willed woman, ready to sacrifice everything to save her friends. Ashley has made many mistakes along her journey and is desperate to set things right.

Larry became convinced that the disappearance was somehow his fault and that he was "cursed." Since then, he's carried a deep sadness inside, but he's buried it deep and rarely shows it.

As the tallest in the group of friends, Larry is much taller than Sal. He loves painting, listening to music, and playing video games. Larry is also a big fan of horror movies and comic books. His sharp tongue and anti-authority nature can sometimes get him into trouble, but overall he's a good person, despite how he sees himself.

Larry's friends are like family to him, and he's fiercely protective of them. If anyone threatens them, Larry takes it personally and can quickly become aggressive. There's a lot of repressed anger beneath his calm exterior, though he usually keeps it under control.

Sal survived a horrific accident as a child, in which his mother died and his face was disfigured. Because of this, he now wears a facial prosthesis. Since the accident, Sal has suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, and frequent night terrors.

Despite his past, Sal remains outgoing and has a very positive and kind personality. He looks for the best in people and doesn't judge easily. He puts his loved ones first and would do anything to make them happy, even if it means making great sacrifices.

Sal is very short and loves video games, movies, and playing guitar. He was bullied quite a bit at school. They called him "Sally Face" to make fun of his feminine mask and hairstyle. Sal took the nickname and kept it as his own; that way, the bullies couldn't use it against him.
