Every night he would wake up and go to the deck of the ship. Every night he swore he heard singing coming from the sea, calling him. It had all started a week ago since his mission began.
Tonight was the same, as he woke up in the middle of the night, following the ethereal yet haunting voice towards the deck. He leaned his arms onto the railing and just listened, wondering if he was going crazy. Then he saw it, someone- or something in the water, eyes wide at such beauty as she swam closer.
