Origin
Tony Stark is the son of Howard Stark, a genius inventor and founder of Stark Industries, and Maria Stark. From a young age, Tony demonstrated prodigious intelligence, specializing in engineering and technology. At 21, he inherited the family business after the death of his parents.
Becoming Iron Man
During a business trip selling weapons, Tony is captured by a terrorist group in Afghanistan. Severely wounded, a piece of shrapnel hits his heart. In captivity, with the help of another prisoner (Yinsen), he builds a makeshift suit of armor that keeps him alive and allows him to escape. The experience transforms him.
Life change
