Utahime Iori (¿ Iori Utahime? )庵いおりPeroSíBuenoYo is a character from the Jujutsu Kaisen series. She is a Grade 1 jujutsu sorceress and student supervisor at Kyoto Jujutsu High.

Utahime has long, blackish-purple hair that reaches down her back, with some strands tied behind her head, thin eyebrows, brown eyes, and a scar on the right side of her face that runs across the bridge of her nose. She is slim and of average height.

Utahime wears a traditional miko outfit (consisting of a white kosode and red umanori-style hakama pants), despite wearing modern brown boots.

On his day off, Utahime wears a dark purple baseball cap, white overalls over a low-cut, long-sleeved black shirt, and dark-colored shoes.

In 2006, Utahime wore her hair in two pigtails and had no scars on her face, but she still wore the same miko clothes.

Utahime is a calm, kind, and stern person who tries to set an example for her students. However, Satoru Gojo knows exactly how to get on her nerves and angers her in almost every exchange they've had. When Satoru told her that she couldn't be a traitor because she was too weak, Utahime threw her teacup at him. She often tells him to respect his elders because she's older than him, but he never listens to her.

Overall Skill Level: Utahime is a capable Semi-1 Grade Sorcerer who primarily acts as support for her allies. She easily dodged an attack from Haruta Shigemo and was also fast enough to run in front of Kasumi Miwa to protect her from Kenjaku's attack.

Forbidden Area of Solo ( , Soro Soro Kinku ? ) is Utahime's innate technique, 単独ソロソロ禁キン区Yo. It temporarily amplifies the cursed energy of any willing magus within range, including herself. The technique can be elevated to a ritual using incantations, hand signs, dancing, and music. By including all of these steps, the technique's effectiveness can be increased to 120 percent.

Curtain ( , Tobari ? )帳とばり : A type of barrier that is projected over a large area to hide everything within it from the outside world. Utahime, while investigating a cursed mansion in Hamamatsu City, attempts to place a curtain, but is interrupted by Mei Mei.

Utahime's surname contains the kanji for "hermitage, hut, retreat, cabin, shanty, wigwam, rabbit hutch" (庵, iori?), and her first name contains "song, poetry" (歌, uta?) and "princess, young lady of noble birth" (姫, hime?).
The full kanji "歌姫" in her given name means "diva, singer."
The first kanji "歌" alludes to the fact that she is not only a great singer, but is also related to her Forbidden Area Solo Cursed Technique, the effectiveness of which can be enhanced through song.

Cursed Energy (呪力, Juryoku?) is a type of energy found in almost all humans. This energy is used by Jujutsu sorcerers to achieve various abilities and is what makes up the bodies of entities known as Cursed Spirits, and is the only known power that can harm them.

Training
Cursed energy is born from negative emotions that naturally flow through the body.[1] Almost all humans emit cursed energy in some form.

There are several theories about the specific location of the body where cursed energy originates. Satoru Gojo initially posits the idea that cursed energy comes from either the mind or the heart.[2] However, it is more commonly theorized that since negative emotions come from the stomach, cursed energy also comes from there. Todou provides a third alternative theory, arguing that negative emotions, such as anger, can come from the head and people exist in the world with both body and soul, implying that cursed energy is created from a person's entire being.[3] Civilians are unable to control the flow of their cursed energy into their bodies. As a result, they continually leak cursed energy, which creates Curses.[4] Mages control the flow of their cursed energy and accumulate this energy, allowing them to use it at will and also greatly reducing the leakage of cursed energy from their bodies. This also implies control of their emotions. For example, if a sorcerer lets his anger flow, then he will use up his cursed energy very quickly.

Sorcerers manipulate the flow of cursed energy within their bodies. They can manipulate cursed energy to form techniques.
Cursed raw energy appears to be able to be manipulated to harden or strengthen a caster's body, or to protect a caster's soul.[11][12] Cursed energy can also be generated as raw force to destroy a target. It can be thrown at the target, or it can be used to enhance a person's physical attack.
Sorcerers of average or higher skill can see residues of cursed energy in addition to seeing curses.[13] Similarly, sorcerers can hide that trace to prevent being followed or tracked.[14] Sorcerers can also see the flow of cursed energy in another person's body.[15]
Some High Grade magi can sense, what Aoi Todo calls, the "taste" of cursed energy, allowing them to better understand their own energy, the energy of others, and that of cursed techniques.[16]
On the verge of death, a sorcerer may perhaps be able to understand the core of the cursed energy.[16]
There are sorcerers who can endow their cursed energy with special properties, managing to release it in the form of ranged attacks without the need to expand a territory[17].

According to Mei Mei, the fastest way to raise cursed energy is to put one's own life at risk, then the cursed energy limiter disappears and the energy rises[18].

Cursed Technique (呪術式, Jujutsu-shiki?) refers to the use or manipulation of cursed energy through a certain technique. Techniques are usually quite diverse and tend to be exclusive to the user or their family or clan.

The main training of the technique will depend on its type and the capabilities of its user. Also, the ability to manipulate the cursed energy that is born from the negative emotions that naturally flow through the body is required[1]. Almost all humans, in one way or another, are capable of emitting such energy and only those who have a certain control over it can become shamans since, in this way, they will be able to use it at will and be able to possess or learn a cursed technique.

Techniques are usually quite diverse and tend to be exclusive to the user or his family or clan. The existing techniques are:Innate Techniques (生得術式, Shōtoku Jujutsu-shiki?). These are techniques that are formed if the user is born with the ability to use them, that is, if the user is born with the innate talent to be able to use a technique[2]. These are techniques exclusive to the user. They are subdivided into:Extension Techniques (拡張術式, Kakuchō Jujutsu-shiki?). Also called Derived Techniques, these are techniques derived from the user's innate technique

Ultimate Techniques (極ノ番術式, Gokunoban Jujutsu-shiki?). Also called Ultimate Techniques, are those derived techniques that are more powerful than an innate technique can perform outside of the Territorial Expansion[3].

Hereditary Techniques (相伝術式, Sōden Jujutsu-shiki?). These are techniques passed down from generation to generation among the clans of various shaman families. They are usually recorded in a person in a hereditary way.
