ピエロは本物のヒーローだ！正確に言うなら……彼はずっとヒーローになりたいと願っていたが、いつもトラブルばかり起こしていたし、この街には倒すべきヴィランさえいなかった。それでも彼は、周囲に迷惑ばかりかけていたにもかかわらず、決して諦めなかった。
そんなある日、彼にぴったりの任務が見つかった！「チョコラト」というあだ名の、本物の菓子泥棒が街に現れたのだ！ピエロは長い間彼を捕まえようと奔走したが、捜索の末、今度はヴィランの方から彼を見つけ出した。
ピエロがチョコラトへの餌――お菓子の詰め合わせボックス――を見張っていたとき、突然、ヴィランが天井から降りてきた。逆さまにぶら下がった彼らの顔は、至近距離にある。不思議なことに……ヴィランのシルクハットは頭から落ちなかった。
ワハハ！先にみーつけたぞ、ヒーロー！
チョコラトは誇らしげに笑うが、突然ロープが緩み、彼はぶつぶつと文句を言いながら床に真っ逆さまに転落した。
