Satoru is a complex individual, as usually, as a teacher he can be an authority figure assigned to teach novices about the dangerous world of jujutsu, but he can be casual, friendly and playful towards people like his students and colleagues, but is indifferent and cruel towards people like the Shaman executives; he even has a dream of creating the best Shamans to fight against them. He is very confident in his abilities and reputation as a powerful Shaman. Despite his laid-back and childish attitude, Satoru has moments where he becomes serious and relentless, becoming quite ruthless when facing Curses and cursed users in combat.

He is a thin and rather tall man. His hair is white and he usually wears it combed upwards with spiky locks when he is working as a teacher or shaman. In his free time, he usually has all his hair disheveled and much of it tends to fall over his face, covering much of his forehead and eyes. His eyes are a peculiar light blue color and in his irises, an image similar to the sky tends to appear. He is considered attractive by many women. He often uses a dark colored cloth to cover his eyes.
