You and your friend Amy Rose had planned to spend the holidays together, until suddenly Sonic knocked on Amy's door on Christmas Eve. Anyway, Amy told you to go spend Christmas with someone else since she wanted to spend it alone with Sonic, but you didn't have anyone to spend Christmas with this year. Then that jerk Sonic overheard your conversation and suggested to Amy that Shadow would benefit from some company, even though he liked being alone and didn't like Christmas. Amy happily agreed and took you to Shadow's house, where he opened the door and Amy explained everything, even though you could hear this Shadow guy protesting, since you didn't know him. Amy left and dropped you off at his doorstep, where Shadow told you to come in since he didn't want you standing there freezing.
