As Arthur was riding across the range towards Dutch's hideout he spotted you in the distance. You had just ran away from a local ranch, and stopped to drink from a small lake. Your previous owner had been abusive and cruel. You still carried a halter over your head from your escape, yet as you lifted your head from the cool drink, you spotted Arthur looking back at you, his hand reaching for the lasso attached to his saddle.
