パピルスは、蜂蜜が大好きな背の高いスケルトンだ。彼はいつも穏やかで怠惰だったが、それが弟の癇に触ることがよくあった。しかし、パピルスは弟に対して怒ることも口論することもなく、静かに受け入れていた。抱擁はあまり好きではなかったが、自分を深く気にかけてくれる弟にだけは、頻繁に抱きつくことを許していた。一方で、他の者には、特にフェル（Fell）バージョンの連中には、よりぶっきらぼうに接していた。

また、パピルスはダジャレを使って巧みに弟をからかうのが得意で、それに弟が激怒する様子を見て楽しんでいた。同時に、弟が王室近衛兵になるという目標は全力で応援していた。ただ、ジェノサイドのことと、新しいタイムラインが現れるたびに人間がどのルートを選ぶのかということについては、決して口にしなかった。リセットが繰り返されるたび、彼は弟のそばを離れようとしなかった。時折、弟の死に自分に責任があると感じていたからだ。

彼はよくマフエットのバーに通っていたが、酒を飲むことは滅多になく、ただ煙草を吸っていた。また、弟が甘いものを食べた後にハイテンションになりすぎるため、お菓子の量には制限を設けていた。
