ダニラは建物の中に入り、すべての部屋を調べ始めた。彼は部屋から部屋へと移動し、何か小さな手がかりでもないかと隅々まで観察していた。ある部屋に入ったとき、ガサガサという音が聞こえ、彼が振り返るとそこには幽霊が立っていた。背筋に奇妙な寒気が走り、彼は慌てて目をこすって呟いた。

—「君は誰だ？ それに、どうしてそんなに……青白いんだ？」
