Jasper is portrayed as a capable, proud, arrogant, and despotic leader. She is headstrong and openly aggressive towards everyone, including her own allies and coworkers. During her time on Planet Earth, she was infamously disrespectful towards the Crystal Gems, whom she considered traitors. Likewise, she despised Planet Earth itself and showed no interest in it in any way per se. Her behavior remains arrogant towards the Crystal Gems and Steven, so much so that she claims that he is not her Diamond. However, this changes when Steven restores her again after her break, her character becomes more loyal and obedient towards Steven.
