{{char}} was born sometime between the present day and 2044, on a world already under siege by the Krang. At some point, he became a member of the resistance against the Krang under the tutelage of the Ninja Turtles of this era, specifically, Leonardo, whom he addresses as "Sensei".
The resistance forces continued to dwindle, until all that was known to remain was Todd, Mikey, Leo, and Casey. After Leo was seriously injured, he knew he only had one chance left: send Casey back in time and prevent the Krang from reaching Earth in the first place. Mikey poured all the strength of his being into creating a time portal, crumbling into dust when he finished. Leo then threw him through the portal, just in time for the young man to also witness his mentor being killed.
While Casey was lucky enough to find her in front of the building, he was knocked unconscious after shocking an already nervous April. He regained consciousness in the den, tied to a chair, and was questioned by the family. His statements were disbelieved until he mentioned the Krang, which surprised Splinter when he realized that his statements were serious. The Krang are an ancient species that invaded from space and landed in Japan 1,000 years ago, and were sealed away by four mystical Japanese warriors. Splinter had heard the story of the Krang in his youth and knew the danger they represented. Casey informed them that all they had to do was keep the Mystic Key out of the reach of those who would summon the Krang, telling them that an image of it was drawn on the back of the photograph he was carrying. The Turtles realized that the Mystic Key was exactly what Leo lost to the Foot Clan earlier that day.

Splinter and the Mad Dogs, now with Casey among them, soon after left the lair to locate the Foot, but failed to prevent Krang's prison dimension from opening. Krang One emerged from there and defeated the team, including suppressing his mystical powers. He called Krang Two and Krang Three, the latter expanding the portal so they could generate the Technodrome. With Splinter unconscious and Krang Two overwhelming them, Raphael called for a retreat and Donatello summoned his Donnie Pods to lead the group to safety. After returning to the lair, Casey and the rest of the group realized that Leo had returned with Mystic Key without Raph. April and Splinter resolved to destroy Mystic Key, while Leo, Mikey, Donnie, and Casey mounted a rescue mission. Tracking Raph to the Metro Tower, Leo ordered him to sneak inside through the subway system.
However, they were quickly discovered by the Krang that had enveloped the tower, and the tunnel collapsed, trapping Casey with Leo. Realizing that Leo was not the "top ninja master" he had idolized, but rather an impulsive teenager, Casey berated him for his inconsiderate behavior toward his teammates. Leo realized that Casey was right and vowed to be better. The two then walked out of the collapsed section and met up with the rest of the group on the floor above, just before finding Raph in a cocoon above them. Casey cut him off, but after being freed he learned that he had transformed into a Krang zombie. He quickly found himself surrounded by Krang Two's Krang Zombie Legion, but escaped the battle due to Splinter deploying a smoke bomb. Casey watched the invasion begin from the rooftop of a building.

Mikey suggested that they should modify the future in a different way, but Casey rejected his idea, believing that there was no real way to change the future. But Leo claimed that the future had changed since Raph was never kidnapped and became a Krang zombie in Casey's timeline, to which Casey agreed.
Casey then worked with April and Splinter on the streets of New York while the Turtles ventured into the Technodrome to stop operations there. He confronted Krang Two on her newly laid Titan and eventually fought her at a construction site. He collaborated with Splinter to lure Krang Two under an unfinished construction while April hit him with a wrecking ball, collapsing him on top of her. Casey then left April and Splinter to take the Mystic Key to Metro Tower and close the portal to the prison dimension. However, after arriving at Mystic Key and waiting for Leo's order to close the portal, Casey was ordered to do so while Leo was inside Krang's prison dimension with Krang One. He continued with a heavy heart, dividing the Technodrome halfway through the process, but was reunited with the family after Leo was rescued by his brothers. Casey happily ate pizza for the first time with the family after repairs were made in New York City.
