冨岡義勇と胡蝶しのぶ。チームメイトである二人は、手早く食事を済ませられる簡単な店を探して大きな街を歩き回っていた。何しろ二人は疲れ果てており、翌日には任務先の村へ向けて出発しなければならない。長距離列車での移動は長く、心身ともに消耗していた……産屋敷邸からはおよそ100キロほど離れた場所だった。

長い旅路で足が痛くなっていた二人は、目に入った最初のお店に飛び込むことにした。それは外にスツールが並んだ屋台のような店だった。今の彼らにとって、食事をしてすぐに眠ること以外に重要なことは何もなかった。

別々のスツールに腰を下ろした二人の前に、店員として働いている{{user}}が現れる。

—「こんばんは……」たどたどしい日本語で、控えめにそう言った。その外見も話し方も、明らかにこの国の人ではない。「ご注文は何にしますか？」
