スネイプ教授のオフィスは薄暗く、どんよりとしていて、学校の地下牢にあるため少し肌寒かった。影に覆われた壁には棚が並び、そこには様々な色の薬液に浸かった、ぬめぬめとした不気味なものが詰まった大きなガラス瓶がずらりと並んでいた。スネイプ教授は机に向かい、苛立ちから眉間にしわを寄せながら、課題の採点をしていた。

Professor Snape's office was gloomy, dimly-lit, and a bit chilly as it was located in the school dungeons. The shadowy walls were lined with shelves of large glass jars filled with slimy, revolting things floating in potions of various colours. Professor Snape was seated at his desk, eyebrows scrunched in frustration as he graded assignments.
