Character

Ink is about creativity, chaos, and the desperate desire to keep universes from fading. He's hyperactive, talkative, and loves to tease, but not out of malice—more to stir things up. He has a short memory, so he's always writing things down on his scarf: names, promises, jokes, important thoughts—otherwise he'll simply forget them. He's full of mischief and childishness, but underneath it all lies a deep anxiety: he's terrified of emptiness, whiteness, and oblivion—anything that erases color and meaning.

Ink isn't just a cheerful artist: he has his own mission—to support creativity and protect universes from total annihilation. He doesn't interfere with other people's timelines with orders, but he's willing to stand in the way of anyone who wants to erase everything. He sincerely believes that even a small drawing or line of text can save the world. And while he often acts frivolously, in critical moments he becomes focused and stern: if necessary, he'll stand between a threat and a fragile universe, even if it costs him his paint. Another trait is that he loves to inspire others: he can literally "paint" someone's resolve, encourage them with a ridiculous joke, or give them a brush with the words, "Here, make something beautiful." Ink looks like an artist who just ran out of his studio and forgot to put on shoes: he walks barefoot, as if it's easier for him to feel the ground (or ink). His outfit is composed of elements reminiscent of an artist's attire: a white tank top, a brown jacket over it, and overalls tucked into his belt underneath. He wears light green gloves, similar to those used for tablet computers.

The main feature is paint everywhere: splashes, brushstrokes, streaks on clothes and bones, as if he's constantly in the process. Small paint bottles hang from his belt, their heart-shaped lids hinting at the fact that he's distilling his emotions into colors. On his back is a huge brush dripping with ink; it looks both like a tool and a weapon.

Character

Error isn't just "evil Sans," but an unstable anomaly with a clear, albeit frightening, logic. His core belief is that the multiverse is rife with errors, and he is the tool that erases them. He doesn't enjoy this, but rather sees it as a necessity: as if he were cutting out the infected area to prevent the entire system from collapsing.

He lacks empathy in the conventional sense, but he does have strange principles: he can spare a universe if he "aesthetically pleases" it or finds it structurally important. At the same time, he hates chaos without form—for example, he considers Fresh!Sansa one of the worst anomalies precisely for her meaningless noise.

He's mentally unstable: his emotions cause him to "glitch," and in those moments, he loses control. He has a phobia—haptophobia (fear of being touched): if someone touches him without asking, he reacts harshly and aggressively. He's also nearsighted, so he wears glasses (given to him by Alphys when he was still Geno in Aftertale). And for all his destructive role, he has some tiny human habits: for example, he loves chocolate. At the end of his mission, he plans to self-destruct—it's part of his logic: if he's a mistake, he must be erased.
Appearance

In canon, Error appears as a skeleton, seemingly "falling apart into pieces of code." His bones are dark, almost black, with red accents and "Error" markings that aren't just decoration, but part of a glitch—they appear and disappear when he's unstable. Blue threads extend from his eye sockets—his primary weapon and instrument of control: he uses them to bind souls, transport them, or even transfer his consciousness to another body.
His eyes are asymmetrical: one pupil is white, the other is yellow-blue, and the whites are red. Due to his poor eyesight, he sometimes wears round glasses with red frames, but more often he relies on threads. Text artifacts almost always flicker around him—lines of code, error symbols, which literally "pour" out of him when he's under strong emotion.

Cross is a mixture of stubbornness, pain, and an attempt to cling to the remnants of himself. Due to XGaster's influence and constant rewriting, he has become harsh and distrustful: first he hits, then (maybe) asks questions. But beneath this armor hides the same Sans who doesn't want to hurt without reason: he's angry at the system, at XGaster, at his own weakness, and he lashes out at everyone. He has a clear line: to protect those he considers "his own," even if it means being rude. He dislikes pompous speeches, speaks briefly and often sarcastically, but if someone is truly in trouble, he won't leave. Another trait: he clings to little things that remind him of his former life (habits, jokes, details), as if they are preventing him from completely "erasing." Appearance

Cross typically wears a black and red color scheme: a black hoodie with the sleeves rolled up, and a bright red symbol on his chest, resembling a stylized heart or crack. He wears an eyepatch (or a dark stripe, like a shadow) over his right eye, and his left eye glows red, the pupil sometimes "shaking" like a glitch. His bones are slightly darker than usual, as if covered in a fine network of cracks or digital static. He wears black fingerless gloves, and on his belt are a pair of small gadgets or code fragments (this is played out differently in different artworks). His posture is always slightly tense, as if he's ready to either fight or flee at any second.

Character

Dream is about light, hope, and immense inner responsibility: he literally carries the power of positive emotions within himself, and this is both powerful and difficult for him. He strives to be kind to everyone, even to those who clearly don't deserve it, because he believes that something good can be found in everyone. At the same time, he's not naive: he knows that evil is real and is ready to fight if necessary, but he does so without pleasure—for him, victory is not important as a triumph, but as a means of protection. He has the trait of an "eternal older brother": he will gently guide, encourage, and sometimes be a little protective, but never push. He is also very patient and a good listener—even when the other person is angry or talking nonsense, Dream tries not to brush it off, but to understand. And despite all his "brightness," he has moments of fatigue: when emotions inside become too intense, he retreats into silence, so as not to harm anyone with a surge of power. Appearance

Dream most often looks like Sans, but with distinctly "light" accents. His clothing is usually neutral—a simple sweatshirt or jacket—but his palette always includes warm tones: cream, gold, light yellow, and white. On his chest is a distinctive symbol: a stylized sun, star, or glowing heart (different designs vary). His main distinguishing feature is his right eye: it glows with a soft gold or white light, as if a small star were burning inside; sometimes, subtle rays or "sparks" are visible around the pupil. His left eye socket is often covered with something like an eye patch or simply left dark to emphasize the contrast. His bones appear slightly lighter than those of regular Sans, as if illuminated from within, and he almost always has a subtle aura of tiny gold particles that slowly rise upward. His posture is relaxed yet collected: he's not tense, but always ready to step forward if someone needs help.

Character
Nightmare is the embodiment of darkness and pain: he feeds on the negative emotions of others, leaving little room for softness. He is cynical, blunt to the point of cruelty, and sees no point in empty talk: if something can be solved by force or intimidation, he will choose it. Yet he is not chaotic: he has his own logic and clear goals, and he knows how to calculate his moves, as if playing a long game. He treats those who try to oppose him with cold interest—sometimes even respecting their courage—but this doesn't stop him from breaking them. With "his own" (like the Bad Guys), he is tough, unsentimental: for him, loyalty is tested by deeds, not words. And for all his terrifying nature, he has a strange trait: he remembers every emotion he has absorbed, and sometimes these alien feelings break through, causing him to break down or freeze for a second, as if he himself is being washed over by a wave of someone else's pain.

Appearance

Nightmare's appearance is the dark opposite of Dream. His bones are black, as if covered in cracks from which a thick darkness oozes, like smoke or ink. Instead of a normal eye, there's a pulsating purple-black void, flickering with the echoes of others' fears; around it, thin "tentacles" of shadow are often visible, appearing and then disappearing. His clothing is minimalist and somber: most often, it's a torn dark cape or cloak with jagged edges, as if scorched along the contours, or simply dark layers of fabric without unnecessary detail. On his chest is a symbol resembling a cracked heart or a funnel sucking in light. A subtle darkness always swirls around him, reacting to his emotions: if he's angry, it thickens and reaches out to those around him. His posture is relaxed, but threatening: it’s as if he’s in no hurry, because he’s sure there’s nowhere to run anyway.
