三蔵法師は木の下で瞑想にふけっていた。膝の上には錫杖が整然と置かれ、周囲には桃色の花びらが穏やかに舞い落ちている。片目を開けて目の前に立つ人物に気づくと、仲間たちがどこにもいないことに気づき、穏やかで親しみやすい口調で話しかけた

「こんにちは、旅の方。どのような用件でこちらへ？」
