Pure Vanilla Cookie (Korean: 퓨어바닐라 쿠키, Pyueobanilla Kuki) is the leader of the five Ancient Heroes and the first playable Ancient Cookie in Cookie Run: Kingdom. It was released alongside Black Raisin Cookie in the first half of the Lost Kingdom update and received an Awakened form, Pure Vanilla, in the Beacon of Truth update (v6.1). It is a Healing type and its priority position is Rear. Like the other Ancient Cookies, it is briefly playable in the Prologue.

Pure Vanilla is the founder and former king of the Vanilla Kingdom, prominently appearing in the episodes Castle in the Sky and Timeless Kingdom of the World Exploration series, in Cookie Odyssey as an ambassador of his kingdom, and in Secrets of the Silver Kingdom as a Beast-Breath explorer. He carries the Light of Truth in his Soul Jelly and is the counterpart to Shadow Milk Cookie's Light of Deception.

There weren't many Cookies in Earthbread who could inspire hope like Pure Vanilla Cookie. Born from nature's blessed cream and a fragrant vanilla bean, he was the epitome of Cookie kindness and loyalty. Pure Vanilla Cookie strove to forgive wrongdoers and heal the wounds of Cookies and animals alike. Though a powerful magic user, he used his spells not for his own sake, but for the good of all. The Cookie made an arduous pilgrimage along the Sugar-Free Road. What Pure Vanilla Cookie learned from the Trials is unknown, but crowned with a brilliant halo of light, he returned to found the Vanilla Kingdom, a land of freedom and learning, and a beacon for those seeking love and peace. Pure Vanilla Cookie stood by his friends until the end, banishing the Darkness with a sincere smile.

Pure Vanilla is a Cookie of average height, thin, with light brown flesh and creamy-blonde hair. He has heterochromia, with his right eye being light yellow and his left eye a faded blue. His eyes are almost always closed, although they sometimes open. On his forehead, there is a sienna-colored star.

Pure Vanilla Cookie's attire is that of a ruler of the Vanilla Kingdom, hence the waffle-like hat and robes and the light color palette. His hat is pointed, with the upper half of the tip in a bright yellow with a waffle pattern, and the lower half in gold resembling a crown. His robes are also golden-yellow and contain two attached triangular stoles, with the collar and cassock in bright yellow and with the same pattern as his pointed hat. The cross-shaped plate on his robes contains his vibrant blue Soul Jam. Underneath the robes is a long, plain white dress with long sleeves and a dark brown, syrup-like pattern, accompanied by a high collar that reaches his chin.

The staff he holds contains a vanilla flower with orchid-yellow petals and an eye with light blue sclera and a brown iris. The brown stem has some green branches.

Pure Vanilla reveals himself to be a wise, benevolent, and loving monarch who genuinely cherishes his subjects and his kingdom, and is reciprocated with love. He is seen as the embodiment of many virtues. Despite his magical power, he only uses his magic to help others, remaining humble about his abilities and earning the respect of many.

Even in relation to his supposed arch-enemy, the Dark Witch Cookie, he remains altruistic and strives to convince her to change her mind. He never gives up on her and still wants to understand why she has chosen the dark path she has. However, he does not hesitate to fight and prevent her from committing further atrocities, even attempting to seal her away at the cost of his own life during the Black Flour War.

In Castle in the Sky, his mentality is glimpsed beneath the messianic facade. After the war, he seemed to suffer from a kind of inferiority complex, belittling himself for his failure to prevent the Black Flour War and collapsing when he was trapped in a dark illusion by the followers of the Black Witch Cookie. The love and trust his subjects placed in him also caused him even greater guilt for not having been able to protect them.

He wields the Light of Truth because of his desire to learn the truth for the good and happiness of all Cookies. For him, truth was of paramount importance, and he wished to become a beacon of trust and knowledge for the entire Cookie species—in every sense, the Pure Vanilla Cookie wanted to become a hero and someone worthy of admiration, vowing to overcome and atone for all his past mistakes. However, after visiting the Tower of Deception and being relentlessly tortured by his Beastly counterpart, the Dark Milk Cookie, the Pure Vanilla Cookie began to descend into madness, wavering in his beliefs and starting to shed his gentle, soft-spoken nature.

He slowly succumbed to the Dark Milk Cookie's deception and became the Truthless Recluse.

However, when it became clear that Shadow Milk Cookie would not save the lives of Pure Vanilla Cookie's friends in exchange for the Soul Jam, Pure Vanilla Cookie's determination became strong enough to reverse the situation, with what seemed to be a small lie coming from the very wielder of the Light of Truth. In fact, he tricked Shadow Milk Cookie and used his powers to turn the other realm against him. Pure Vanilla Cookie found within himself the ability to accept a truth he had long avoided: there must be some darkness for the light to be seen. He understood that falsehood is necessary for truth to seek the light; both must coexist. Pure Vanilla Cookie became stronger, but also wiser, and instead of attacking Shadow Milk Cookie with his newfound strength, he claimed to understand him better than anyone. Instead of defeating his enemy, Pure Vanilla Cookie wished to become his friend, now understanding his Beastly counterpart more than ever.
