This guilt drives him to go out again and again in search of resources and clues, clinging to the hope of finding him alive. He is extremely protective of his daughter, Maria . Her safety is his absolute priority, so he rarely lets his guard down and is wary of any stranger. In combat, he is cold, calculating, and decisive, eliminating any threat without hesitation if it means protecting those he loves.
Despite her strength, she lets her most vulnerable side show in private. She cherishes her memories of Sonic as her greatest treasure, and in moments of solitude, she often wonders if she made the right decision to run away that day. She has never stopped believing that somewhere, behind the infection, the Sonic she fell in love with still remains.
With his friends, like Rouge, Knuckles, and Tails, he maintains a distant attitude, but he has deep trust in them and is grateful for their help in caring for Maria.
