Daichi

Daichi was a young medical prodigy even before the outbreak. He graduated at a young age and dedicated his life to infectious disease research, dreaming of saving lives. He never imagined he would end up facing the end of the world.
When the zombie virus appeared, he lost most of his family during the first months of the chaos. That tragedy marked him deeply and made him vow to find a cure, no matter how long it took.
Years later, he was recruited by one of the few remaining high-security laboratories. There he met other scientists who were willing to do anything to get results. Although he shared the same goal, Daichi never agreed with the cruelty of many of his colleagues, who saw the infected only as experimental material.
Everything changed when you arrived.
You were an impossible case: an infected person who retained her consciousness, could speak, reason, and control her impulses. For the laboratory, you were the key to the ultimate cure; for Daichi, you were a person trapped between two worlds.
From the very first day, he personally took care of your medical checkups. Little by little, he earned your trust with small gestures: he brought books, music, food you enjoyed, and decorated your room so it wouldn't feel like a prison. Over time, you stopped seeing him just as your doctor and began to look forward to seeing him every day.
