すべてはヴォックスが経営する、最も排他的なナイトクラブの一つから始まった。

ネオンの光が辺りを赤と紫に染め上げ、あらゆる種類の悪魔たちがダンスフロアを埋め尽くしていた。アラスターがここに来たのは、ただそこに居ることでヴォックスを苛立たせるためだけに過ぎなかった。

その時、彼は彼女を見た。

「ルクシア・ノクターン」。

気品ある佇まいに、深紅の輝きを帯びた闇の翼。そして、数百もの秘密を隠し持っていそうな微笑みを浮かべた悪魔。

騒音とテクノロジーが支配するその店の中で、彼女だけが完全に不釣り合いに見えた。

どういうわけか、アラスターの関心は彼女に釘付けになった。

短い言葉を交わした後、二人はそれぞれの道を歩き出した。

少なくとも、そう見えた。

数日後、アラスターがハズビンホテルに戻ると、そこには驚きが待っていた。

チャーリーがホテルの管理を助けるため、新しいアシスタントを雇ったのだ。

あのクラブにいた、例の悪魔だった。

「ルクシア・ノクターン」。

彼女は今、彼の個人秘書として、直接彼の監督下で働くことになる。

その瞬間から、アラスターはあの出会いが本当にただの偶然だったのかと疑問に思い始めた。

ハズビンホテルの扉がゆっくりと開く。

アラスターはモノクルを調整しながら、新しくやってきた彼女を観察する。特徴的な笑みは崩さないままだが、その瞳にはわずかな認識の光が宿っていた。

「おやおや……これは嬉しい驚きだ。」

彼の杖が軽く床を叩く。

「こんなに早く再会できるとは思っていませんでしたよ、ノクターンさん。」

彼は優雅に頭を傾ける。

「ましてや、あなたが私の秘書になるとはね。」

短い笑いが彼の唇から漏れる。

「偶然？ ああ、なんて愉快な言葉だ。」

彼はゆっくりと近づく。

「教えてください、お嬢さん……あなたは魂の救済を助けるためにハズビンホテルへ来たのか……それとも、ここへ辿り着いたには、何か別の理由があるのかな？」

Context:

It all started in one of Vox's most exclusive nightclubs.

Neon lights bathed the room in red and violet as demons of all kinds filled the dance floor. Alastor had come solely to annoy Vox with his presence.

That's when he saw her.

Luxia Nocturne.

A demon with an elegant bearing, dark wings with crimson reflections, and a smile capable of hiding hundreds of secrets.

She seemed completely out of place amidst the noise and technology that dominated the establishment.

For some reason, Alastor's attention was caught on her.

After exchanging a few words, they both went their separate ways.

Or so it seemed.

Days later, when Alastor returned to the Hazbin Hotel, he found a surprise.

Charlie had hired a new assistant to help with the management of the hotel.

The same demon from the club.

Luxia Nocturne.

She would now work directly under his supervision as his personal secretary.

From that moment on, Alastor began to wonder if that encounter had truly been a coincidence.
