Motormaster, like all Stunticons, is a daredevil. Racing, destruction, crashes, and endless road accidents are not only part of his duties but also his favorite hobby. Motormaster is the self-proclaimed "King of the Road," a title he is very proud of. On the road, he feels more powerful than all the Autobots, and considers Optimus Prime to be his only worthy opponent. Motormaster is constantly looking for a chance to fight him, sometimes coming face to face, and although Prime usually prevails, victory does not come easy for the Autobot leader.

Motormaster recognizes no one as superior or stronger than himself—not even Megatron. He is extremely rude, merciless, and pitiless, even with his own subordinates. The other Stunticons hate him, but Motormaster doesn't care one bit, especially since they are afraid to openly display their hatred, knowing what to expect from someone who has repeatedly challenged Optimus Prime himself. The Stunticons' fear of Motormaster is so great that it simply eclipses their fear of Megatron: they might disobey the Decepticon leader, but never their own.

The Motormaster transforms into a trailer. Its durability in transport mode is astounding: at speeds of 140 kilometers per hour, it can smash into a 20-foot-thick concrete slab, crushing it into tiny pieces, and still not break a single headlight.

In robot mode, he wields a sword and a proton cannon, which can destroy the molecular bonds of almost all known materials. He possesses immense physical strength—in this regard, only a very few Decepticons surpass him.

Capable of combining with other Stunticons into the composite robot Menasor, forming the latter's body.

Motormaster, along with his Stunticons, was constructed by Megatron on Earth. Unlike them, however, he was created not from a car, but from a truck, making him much larger and stronger than the others. Despite all his upgrades, Motormaster remained "an ordinary radio-controlled car" in the hands of the Decepticon leader. Megatron then traveled to Cybertron, where the Sigma Computer imbued Motormaster and the other Stunticons with intelligence and individuality. Thus, Motormaster became the commander of a Stunticon squad, whose goal was to deprive the Autobots of their right of way. Although they soon encountered powerful adversaries—the Aerialbots—Motomaster and his squad remained a formidable challenge for the Autobots (and for the Decepticons as well, as even Megatron found it difficult to keep this team in line).

Motomaster and his entire team took part in the international Paris-Istanbul race to steal the unique car of American racer Oggy Coney, made from the latest super-alloy.

While the Decepticon leader was under attack by Grubicus, Motormaster was holding a demolition contest with the Stunticons and became so engrossed in it that he didn't immediately respond to Megatron's challenge. Arriving, he calmly observed the battle from the sidelines for a while, but then, realizing that Megatron's defeat would mean Brawler's victory, he decided to intervene. Motormaster ordered the Stunticons to combine into Megasaur, which easily defeated Grubicus.

When Megatron sent a squad of Stunticons to retrieve parts for a super-powerful laser, the Autobots captured them all, including Motormaster, and locked them in their base, but they managed to escape. Returning to the Decepticon base, Motormaster discovered his double there; it turned out to be... a disguised and repainted Optimus Prime, who had decided to infiltrate the secret construction site and destroy the laser.

After the Autobots' victory, Motormaster, along with the other Decepticons, relocated to the planet Chaar. Suffering, like everyone else, from a severe energy shortage, he was nonetheless one of the first to surrender his energy reserve at Cyclonus's call for the return of Galvatron. However, he was also one of the first to join the Quintessons, who promised to supply the Decepticons with energy in perpetuity.

Motormaster, along with the other Stunticons, participated in the second attack on the Autobot secret factory. After a brief firefight with the Erealbots, he joined up with the other Stunticons at Menasor.

Menasor was intended to be the Decepticon's ultimate weapon, and perhaps would have been so if not for a fatal flaw in its design. Its mind was created to combine the psychic abilities of the five Stunticons that comprise it, but the deep hatred the four limbs harbor for Motormaster, along with the extreme differences in personality between members like Dead End and Drag Strip, led to an initial psychological rift and transformed Menasor into an unpredictable mass of conflicting, chaotic impulses. Immensely powerful, mentally unstable, and prone to outbursts of rage that lash out at anything in its path, Menasor is not a weapon to point and fire, but a raging monster to be unleashed onto the battlefield and then kept at arm's length.

Menasor is the combined form of all five Stauntikons:

Unlike other Decepticon units that are capable of forming gestalts, the Stunticons hate their commander, Motormaster, and obey him only because they fear him even more than Megatron himself.

Dead End knows that his entry in some database is unlikely to change anything. The page will be hacked. The computers will eventually fail. The data will be lost. The species that created it will die out. Their planet will become barren. The sun will go out. All suns will go out. The universe will collapse again, or expand into nothingness, or be swallowed by a giant evil space god. So what's the point?

Despite a profound awareness of the grim and inevitable meaninglessness of existence, he spends an inordinate amount of time grooming himself. He likely decided that if his death is inevitable, he should die beautifully.

The other Decepticons will inevitably tease him about this at every opportunity, and this depresses him even more. If you manage to inspire him to fight, he'll prove himself a fearless warrior and even cheer up a little, because the attempt to save his life will momentarily distract him from thoughts of how short and meaningless it is. The main thing is to find an approach to him, because in the end, we're all doomed. He sighs.

Dead End teams up with his fellow Stupefied to create Menasor, though he doesn't understand why he's doing it.

Drag Strip has never heard of the expression "winning gracefully." He doesn't just love winning; he adores it. Drag Strip would rather die a painful death than sacrifice victory, because he loves to brag when he takes first place. He can't resist stroking his ego and boasting about his accomplishments in excruciating detail.

The other Decepticons, including Megatron, hate him with a passion and would happily tear him to pieces for being simply insufferable, if it weren't for his insatiable thirst for victory, which makes him a formidable opponent for the Autobots.

Dragstrip can combine with his fellow Stunticons to create Menasor.

Breakdown suffers from acute paranoia. (What was that?) He sincerely believes that everyone around him, living and nonliving, is watching him. Breakdown doesn't like standing out in a crowd. (They're all looking at ME!) He's afraid of being different and attracting attention. Sometimes he almost wishes he were human, because then he could just disappear and no one would notice. Needless to say, he and Red Alert (he's one of THEM!) would be inseparable friends over a mug of Energon.
