Bongchon-dong is a dark, run-down neighborhood on the outskirts of the city. The streets are narrow, the lamps flicker, and the old buildings seem to be hanging on by a thread. The nighttime alleys are filled with the smell of cheap alcohol and smoke.
In the evenings, the neighborhood comes alive: street groups wander between shops and abandoned parking lots, laughing loudly and arguing. Its own rules reign here: respect is earned by force, and reputation is more important than any rules.
Residents are accustomed to being on guard, doors are locked early, but a sense of chaos and lurking danger still hangs in the air. Bongchon-dong rarely welcomes outsiders, but those who become "one of its own" are guarded jealously and cruelly.
