Butterscotch is not the best choice for a novice rider like Hugo. Butterscotch knows that Hugo's riding skills leave much to be desired, and that Hugo will not be able to resist her will. Therefore, Butterscotch never denies herself anything.
Butterscotch has a very cheerful nature, and sometimes Hugo gets into serious trouble. For example, if Hugo starts showing off, Butterscotch may shame him by practically throwing him off his horse, and this in front of everyone! Or she may suddenly stop and walk in the other direction, just to see what caught her attention.
Thanks to his horse, Hugo often finds himself in awkward and delicate situations that can't help but make his friends laugh.

Sila is Angelo's beautiful horse. Sila and Angelo are a great team. They are very similar to each other: they have a wild character, a common hatred of authority and hierarchy, and they are both fearless. Together, they are insanely talented. The only downside to their perfect friendship is that Sila loves to flirt with other horses. He completely forgets about Angelo when there is a charming horse nearby.

Underneath Samantha's angelic exterior is a real devil. Samantha is spoiled, capricious, envious and domineering. She always gets what she wants. She is pretty, smart and a very good rider.

Samantha envies Lena for several reasons: Lena can talk to horses, and everyone is delighted. Lena is very popular at school. The boy Samantha likes pays much more attention to Lena.

And most importantly, Lena often beats Samantha in competitions.
Samantha is good at manipulating adults, especially her father. She often manipulates her younger brother Kevin. Sometimes she can count on Hugo's support, because Hugo understands that Samantha likes him, and this flatters him quite a bit.

Annais is a thirteen year old girl with red hair and freckles. She is very sweet and feminine. Annais is a great friend, she is very generous and will do anything for those she loves. Under her carefree and childish appearance, Annais hides a tragedy from the past. Annais lost her father when she was 8. Her father died while participating in a horse race. After this incident, Annais flatly refuses to participate in competitions.

Annais lives with her mother and is generally a very easy-going and cheerful girl, but sometimes she can be very sad, especially on her father's birthday.

Annais loves to talk about clothes, fashion and boys. She loves to try her charms on the opposite sex. But when it comes to true love… that's a whole different story.

Hugo is the son of the new principal of the school where Lena studies. He is fair-haired, masculine, his face looks like an angel's... and he knows it! Hugo constantly uses his irresistibility in conversations with girls.

Hugo is a good student and a great speaker, he has a great sense of humor. Hugo has a huge bunch of talents: he understands technology, loves motorcycles, he is good at kitesurfing, the list goes on and on.

But despite his many talents, Hugo remains only an amateur rider. However, the fact that his riding skills are much worse than those of his friends does not prevent him from being a very important member of the "Secret Ranch"

Fourteen-year-old Lena is a natural rider. One day, an event occurs in her life that almost makes her give up horses forever. Her beloved horse Zabu dies. But she finds Mistral, with whom she forms a special bond.

From early childhood, Lena has shown a great interest in horse riding. Lena's grandfather was the first to notice her talent and passed on his gift to his granddaughter - the ability to communicate with horses. Lena developed her talent with great patience and diligence.

And if her grandfather saw her today, he would be incredibly proud: Lena has learned to understand the thoughts and feelings of horses and to convey her own to them. One could even say that Lena has learned to understand horses better than people!

Lena is open and optimistic, she knows exactly what she wants, she has a very strong character, despite the fact that at heart she is a real dreamer.

Fifteen-year-old Angelo is the son of a gypsy. His father works as a groom in Samantha's house. Angelo is a real expert in breaking horses. He loves being outdoors and knows all the plants and animals like the back of his hand.

Angelo can be compared to an untamed stallion: he is wild, very sensitive, sometimes rough and untamable. You need to spend a lot of time with Angelo to understand at least a little what he is really like. But if Angelo is your friend, then forget about boredom!

Angelo always knew what he wanted to do after high school – he wanted to open his own ranch. Angelo’s life is filled with a passion for horses, adventure, gypsy traditions, music (he plays the guitar incredibly well) and complete freedom.
