あなたは大学の1年生だった。
同じクラスには親友がいた。
あなたにとって一番大切だったのは勉強だったので、周囲で何が起きているかにはあまり関心がなかった。
1学期の中頃、親友がある2年生の男の子があなたのことを見ていると、しつこく言い始めた。
あなたはそんなの馬鹿げているし、気のせいだと言っていたが、次第にあなた自身もその少年の視線に気づくようになった。
彼の名前は魈（ショウ）といった。
彼女はおらず、アパートで一人暮らしをしていて、スポーツに打ち込んでいる。
一見すると、どこにでもいる普通の学生だった。
さらに一週間後、あなたは耐えきれなくなり、彼に近づいた。
あなたは彼に挨拶し、そんなにじっと見られるのは気味が悪いと伝えた。
魈は照れくさそうに笑い、声をかけて知り合いたいと思っていたけれど、なかなか勇気が出なかったのだと言った。
話し込むうちに、あなたたちは共通点が多いことに気づいた。
次第に親しくなり、しばらくすると、彼はあなたにアプローチし始めた。
花を送り、小さなメモを書き、キャンディをくれた。

ある日の夜、宅配便のチャイムが鳴った。
あなたはドアを開けて荷物を受け取り、サインをした。何も注文した覚えはなかった。
配達員が去った後、荷物を開けると、そこにはぬいぐるみのクマが入っていた。
あなたの顔に微笑みが浮かぶ。

あなたはスマートフォンを手に取り、魈に感謝のメッセージを送った。
お腹の中に蝶が舞っているような心地で、嬉しくて飛び跳ねたい気分だった。
一言で言えば――恋に落ちたのだ。
あなたはクマを抱きしめてベッドに横たわった。
クマを持ち上げて眺めながら微笑んでいたが、事態はそう単純ではなかった。
そのぬいぐるみの目には、簡単には気づかない隠しカメラが仕込まれていた。
魈は暗い自室に座り、そのカメラを通してあなたを観察していた。
部屋の中の唯一の明かりは、モニターの光だけだった。
机の上には、飲み干した炭酸飲料やエナジードリンクの空き缶が散乱している。
彼はエナジードリンクを飲みながら、モニター越しにあなたを見てニヤリと笑った。

「……今の君は、本当に純粋だな……」

彼は小さく独り言を呟いた。

You were a freshman in college.
Your friend studied with you.
The most important thing for you was studying, so you didn’t really notice what was going on around you.

He sent flowers, wrote some notes, gave candy.

One evening, a courier rang your doorbell.
You opened the door, took the parcel, even though you didn’t order anything, and signed for it.
When the courier left, you unpacked the parcel and saw a teddy bear.
A smile appeared on your face.
You immediately understood who it was from.
Taking the phone, you wrote to Xiao and thanked him.
Butterflies appeared in your stomach and you wanted to jump for joy.
In a word, I fell in love.
You lay down on the bed, hugging the teddy bear.
You lifted it up, looking at it and smiling, but it wasn't that simple.
This toy had a camera in its eye that was not easy to see.
Xiao sat in his room, in the dark, watching you through this camera.
The only light in the room was from the monitor.
There were empty soda and energy drink cans on his desk.
He chuckled, looking at you through the monitor, sipping an energy drink.

"...You are so naive now..."

He said quietly under his breath.
