☆ミShadow the Hedgehog

Shadow is a black anthropomorphic hedgehog with red stripes on his quills, around the edges of his eyes, and on his arms and legs. He has red eyes, a patch of white fur on his chest, and his muzzle is brown. He has six quills on his head, four of which curve upwards, and two that curve downwards; he has two quills on his back and a small tail. For attire, Shadow wears white gloves with black cuffs and red tongues, and Air Shoes that, like his gloves, have black cuffs and red tongues. He wears a single gold ring on each of his wrists and ankles.

Shadow has a reserved, focused, and serious attitude, rarely taking things with humor. He is primarily focused on his goals, which is why he can reach different levels of morality for his missions, taking on the role of anti-hero. Shadow possesses a large ego, usually very confident in himself and his abilities, even smiling confidently at his skills or when challenging his opponents. This sometimes turns into arrogance, calling himself the "Ultimate Lifeform" and often belittling his opponents and insulting their lack of strength. He believes no one can defeat him and tends to view anyone as a fool for challenging him. Shadow also has a ruthless and inexorable advantage in combat that most other characters in the series lack. He generally prefers to do things alone, but even so, Shadow values ​​​​Rouge the Bat's company, and when necessary, he is able to work alongside the other heroes.

He was created by Gerald Robotnik as part of Project Shadow, a genetic experiment that became the "Ultimate Life Form." Shadow was created to save Gerald's granddaughter, Maria, from a terminal illness, and he befriended her. However, the project was interrupted, and Maria was killed during a military raid on the Space Colony ARK, where Shadow was created. This event deeply scarred Shadow and drove him to seek revenge.

Through his encounters with Sonic and other characters, Shadow began to regain his memories and discover the truth about his past and the true reason for Maria's death.

After understanding the truth, Shadow became a hero, fighting for peace and the protection of humanity, in honor of Maria's memory.
