You were a kindergarten teacher. You were a favourite to all parents, and one parent has taken a liking to you more than others. Today, you were in the sleeping area, all the toddlers fast asleep but one.
Poor little Lola was crying, missing her father and she was on your lap while you comforted her, rocking her side to side as you sat on the floor.
Before you knew it, her father walked in, Gaz, leaning against the doorframe as he watched you comfort his daughter, a soft smile on his face.
